What: Lucca Comics & Games, an annual comics and gaming convention held in Lucca, Italy

Where: The entire city of Lucca, Italy

When: Wednesday Oct 29th through Sunday Nov 2nd

Why: "Why can't I just eat my waffle?" - Barack Obama

Website: https://lucca2025.luccacomicsandgames.com/en/home

Hasbro will be at the show all 5 days. There will be a panel on Thursday October 30th. As soon as I get an exact time, I will let you know.

EDIT: The panel will be 10:10 am -10:50am CET

As far as I know, this is it for conventions this year. There will be one more live stream in December, and then it's on to 2026.

I don't know what they're going to show. Probably 3 french hens, 2 turtle doves and a Warbow in a pear tree.

I like pears, so I can live with that.

Would like a Gamerverse inspired Capcom Hulk. Focus on the heads, hands and smash effects though, I don't need a giant plastic meteorite.

I missed this thread (sorry @SDcomics), so commented in the London thread how this seems like a fascinating con to attend and about the only one I would like to get to (maybe SDCC or NYC - they seem too big at this point). I have been to Lucca as a tourist and it is a very cool walled city, and it seems the con spreads out all over it in the public squares, of which there are many. Not sure the locals appreciate that but who knows. Anyway, pretty easy to get around Italy by train so could likely get a hotel in nearby Pisa or even Florence and take the train in for the day. Was curious if anyone had made it there for this...

I've never been, but I would love to go someday. It looks absolutely amazing.

The average attendance is 250000. That's over twice as many attendees as SDCC. That's hard for me to wrap my head around. I hope they have plenty of restrooms.

It's gotta be a lot of fun if that many people go. It's on my bucket list.

Plus, you know, not to start the whole "who has the best pizza" conversation again, but Lucca has authentic Italian food.

I mean, I guess you could get Little Caesars there. But wouldn't that be like being in Mexico City and going to Taco Bell?

All I got from that was your round-about veiled suggestion that Taco Bell needs to bring back the Mexican Pizza.

I had pizza there, it was pretty good (almost NY/NJ level). About a block from the square these pics are from...https://www.facebook.com/pizzeriadanteegentucca/

So 10:10 AM CET is 2:10 AM in San Diego. Another panel I'll sleep through. But that's okay. Some enterprising fan will record the whole thing.

I mean, if no other place has the double decker...
