Fwoosh Toys/Articulated Icons - A Retrospective

I've always felt a strange loyalty to my avatar. Which is weird, because I've never read a single page featuring Ultimate Nightcrawler. I just liked the image & thought it made a striking avatar way back when. But I don't know if anybody really recognizes it, I'm mostly a fly in the wall around here! Still nice to have a place to go, even if I'm mostly just reading.
I definitely recognize your avatar going waaay back! It's a solid and memorable avatar + screen name combo.

At some point did you make some custom Psylocke psychic knives for the old Toybiz ML Psylocke and sell them on Fwoosh? I know I bought one from someone on the Fwoosh and for some reason my terrible memory pings for that when I see your username.
I did not! If only I could've created such a productive outlet from this hobby! Closest I came was making a custom soft goods Michael Myers, that got featured on the short lived 'New Custom Tuesdays' before Halloween. Someone really twisted my arm, trying to get me to make one for him, but I didn't have faith i could actually replicate it a second time!

Omg, that title. I thought somebody died.

I didn't want to say anything, but after looking over Paul's background, I'm a little surprised he didn't put together a more stable platform. I would imagine the guys behind the scenes could only do so much.

Hey! There's only one Crow here (even if it's not my avatar). 😁

I'm glad to have some big names speaking out on this, at the very least.

Seems 3POA will be covering this today in a stream as well. I don't like them at all, but the more voices speaking out about this, the better.

I don't have time for a 2-hour livestream, but it's great to see J bringing it up. I respect the hell out of that guy and it's good to see him decide not to play favorites and say 'I always liked Fwoosh, so I'll just keep my thoughts to myself.' Good for him.
Not that I think it'll do any good.

What I really want to see is Robo and Veebs comment on this. Surely they feel they have SOME culpability in what's happening.

Most of what he has to say is in the first 15 minutes, stopped watching once he dove into subscriber comments. Basically just amounts to what we already know though. So long as this gets more coverage and more eyes on it, that's fine by me. I'm hoping more people speak out on it in time.

Robo and Veebs absolutely have some idea what's going on, and I'd love if they comment, but I also could understand why they wouldn't or can't.

J is a chill as hell dude though, follows me on Twitter. Likes my cat posts and art retweets sometimes.

Yeah, J being so chill is the reason this feels important; he's the last guy I would ever expect to do any 'drama-tube' stuff. So if he feels like this needs to be called out, that immediately makes it feel more real and important than just typical toy whining kind of stuff. I DID listen to the first 15 minutes as well and I love that he also called out PDNA/Megalopolis for being scumbags with mid toys.

I got the impression that Robo left The Fwoosh in large part because he wanted no part in being dragged into the company producing toys. When I talked to those two at the last Power Con, they were showing off prototypes, but it certainly didn't feel like it was their project at all.
