Star Wars Black Series

Finally got around to opening my Ahsoka Captain Rex,... Any tips for folks like me with near-zero skills on fixing it? Can you even take these figures apart at the elbow without potentially damaging anything?
Heat the arm in hot water to soften it up and it should pop out easily. That will also soften the glue (if there is any) and let you reposition the elbow pad.

I pre ordered the ceremonial Krennic today. Anyone else get him? It was definitely cool to see him wearing that very outfit last night on Andor. Made me even more excited to order him today.

I love Krennic. Such a good character, and so well played by Mendelsohn.

I wasn't able to get him, but releasing the figure the day after he shows up on screen in that outfit was a rare moment of marketing genius (which I'm sure wasn't actually intentional).

Artoo’s card and bubble were flawless, but Kit’s was mildly bent at the peg hole. The rest was fine.
Dooku arrived from Walmart, this time in a cardboard box. Of course, there was more damage to the card getting smushed into a too-small shipper than the cards that arrived in bubble mailers. Walmart gonna Walmart. Will have to keep an eye out in person for a replacement.

Long have I waited.

It looks like Shaak Ti and Luminara Unduli are going to ship next week from Pulse. I love getting Jedi and Sith the most, and I have eagerly awaited these 2 since they were announced. I can't wait to get them.
It looks like Rex and Ani from Ahsoka are going to ship out about the same time. So, lots of cool stuff coming

Also, to my surprise, Sebulba from the Wave with Shaak and Luminara, shipped out today.

NORM, I hate to hear that. Wal-Mart overall just kind of blows. When it comes to exclusive toys and their shipping and handling of them or stocking them in their stores........they just blow. I hope you find a nice ROTS Carded Dooku in person to buy, so you can return the damaged card one.

If I see one out at a Wal-Mart, I'll pick it up for you and ship it with the receipt at jut the cost of the figure.

Opened up a few figures tonight that I've had for a couple of days. the new Ani is really well done likeness-wise, but he feels a little gummy/rubbery - actually the past couple of figures did and I wonder if it's just been shipping in hot trucks? But no complaints, really, solid figure. Rex... I truly thought he was going to be an upgrade, but he's also a bit gummy and the shoulder pauldron isn't attached so it spins on his shoulder a lot. Now that I have him in hand, I think I like the cloth kama more than the sculpted rubber.

Kit Fisto - I just wish he had a removable soft-goods cloak (to the point where I might try to find a stray one on eBay) but otherwise he's pretty perfect.

Range Trooper from Andor--impulse purchase to get an order up to free shipping but I actually just really like this guy with his bazooka. It'll be fun to have him side by side with the solo one.

Sebulba and Moff Gideon are shipping from Pulse today. Really can't wait to see Sebulba in hand!

I’ve spotted the Range Trooper and Jedha Stormtrooper at Target, but I’m skipping them, I have them already. Isn’t that the same Range Trooper from Solo?

I found armored Moff Gideon at a local Target the other day. A friend then found him, Imprerial Praeteoian Guard and, clone wars Anakin and Rex in a shipper at Walmart.

All I found at a Walmart today was a banged up Cody for full price. None of those amazing instant clearances or shippers for me! :(

Saw Sebulba at GameStop - he's way bigger than I was expecting. I have to rewatch his scenes to see if he's in scale - he probably is but I didn't even realize it was Sebulba in the box because it was so full.

Sebulba definitely seems big on his own. But he’s relatively small compared to regular sized characters. I have to disassemble my entire prequel set up just to fit him in a way where he will be at all visible.

Random thought as I was finding a spot for Kit Fisto on the shelf and he briefly ended up next to one of the xenomorphs I cannot find a proper home for in my office who just sort of looms terrifyingly somewhere at all times: would a lightsaber cauterize a wound to a xenomorph?

Finally found a use for the Battle Droids on my shelf, since I'll probably never be able to get them to stand- rearranged things a bit and put them laying down/hanging off and some of the clones- namely Delta Squad for now- standing victoriously atop them. Sorry to bring slurs into it, but as they say, "The only good Cl*nker is a dead Cl*nker." 🤪

Good question. I'd assume so, since it does for everything else. (I'm reminded of Halle Berry's Storm- "Do you know what happens to a Xenomorph when it's cut by a lightsaber? The same thing that happens to everything else.") As long as none of the blood gets on the hilt, I'd assume the saber itself would be relatively unscathed. At most, maybe a cool, unstable crackling effect like Kylo, but I don't see why it would necessarily.

I think my working theory is that it does cauterize it, but if the story calls for it, maybe the cauterization doesn't necessarily have the right chemistry to prevent the blood from eventually eating through, so you could still have a hull breach later. (Imagining a Jedi walking away triumphantly as the camera pans down on the stump hissing and leaking smoke...)
