McFarlane DC Multiverse

Received Oswald and the Duck today. I feel like the duck is appropriately sized if not a little small, which is fine as I didn't think I had room for it but it's not that much more drastic than the Gamerverse Juggernaut, maybe twice the thickness, but a little bit taller. I can hold onto it as it's not too egregious. Happy with the longjohn version of the Penguin as this is the version I think of most during the movie once his mayoral prospects have been ruined by Bruce. So grateful for this wave even if they're overpriced as I doubt I'd be seeing any of these characters as anything but a NECA or HotToys doll. Getting a Nicholson-adjacent 89 Joker would be a dream, and then I can source my own custom head or something to round things out.

I don't quite understand why the Thai leaks mention another DKRises Bane as we've already gotten two. I passed on the jacketed one after chasing down all the bare armed BAF parts and don't need more than that. But we clearly need a Ras Al Ghul more than another Bane.
 
I spotted a lone Max Shrek at a local Target today among a restock of Superman 25 figures, but ended up passing on him since I was already grabbing the NECA vacation turtle 2 packs and the granny Bebop and baby Rocksteady set.
 
Got my Batgirl pre-order in from Gamestop this month. She's a huge hit with my 4 year old niece, who calls her "Batman Sister"

Gamestop also finally shipped Scarecrow today, so I'm looking forward to getting him in some time next week. Also, I never posted this image anywhere and I think it's a good representation of how cool these 2 figures are.

I wondered that as well. And other than a shirtless Bane or the bomber jacket, I don't really see what other look they could do for him, and I wouldn't consider either of those looks crucial, per se. Curious about the rumored Joker as well. Is it a straight re-release, or a new look? Cop Joker? Maybe a single release of Interrogation Joker? I'd love for it to be Nurse Joker, but that's one that apparently DC doesn't want anyone to make. Curioser and curioser....


I did get in my Max Shreck and Scarecrow from GameStop yesterday. May wait until I have the rest of the Returns figures in hand to open Max, but I can't wait to crack Scarecrow open.

I received the purple and yellow Barbara Gordon Batgirl yesterday. I was really looking forward to that one, but I don’t think it will make the cut when I pare down my McFarlane DC Multiverse collection next year. There’s nothing specifically “wrong” with the figure. It just looks kinda sloppy when standing next to some of the other McF releases I’ve picked up recently.

More than any other line I can think of in recent years, you really have to have these figures in hand to know for sure. Sometimes the promo and in-hand pics and videos don’t do them justice, and sometimes they look better than they do in person.

I’m looking forward to a lot of names on this that latest update, especially Vigilante. The thing I’ll miss the most about McFarlane is the unpredictability of the character selection.
