As a sign of good grace, President Lewis himself ordered that the assault and battery charges against him be dropped after his discharge from service. Intelligence indicated LaFitte would be a significant agitator but in a strange turn of events, he instead opened up a drag bar in New Orleans named Gung-HO, Baby. His entire security staff is made up of former Joes and thus the establishment remains under constant supervision, though agents who have entered say "it's just a really fun place."

"If you're surprised Gung-Ho opened up a drag bar, man, you just never knew him well. He said to me, after, y'know, his temper cooled a bit, that 'if America ain't gon' be a safe place for nobody, I'm gon' make a safe place for people my damned self.' I mean, is he running guns through the bayou with Swamp Rat on the side? OF COURSE. But he also runs a haven for people who need a place to find their joy. And when I mean safe, I mean some local boys decided to start some shit when it first opened and ended up in the hospital, and then they tried it again and some of them just up and disappeared. When you're at Gung-HO's, you're in good company, baby."

A personal note from [REDACTED]: "Gung-Ho and I spent more time trying to kill each other with our bare hands than any other Joe, I believe, but when Cobra infiltrated the government and made both the Joes and the Dreadnoks obsolete, we buried the hatchet. There was no point to it anymore. He thinks his bar is safe with his ex-Marine security, but it's safer than he even realizes, because it is quietly under Dreaknok protection as well. If someone harms a single patron, we will burn their home to the ground."

Addendum to [REDACTED's] note from [REDACTED]: "My brother left out the fact that he performs at the bar a few times a month. His act is amazing, but he's too proud to admit it."

No.... I mean, I have a "oh shit" moment but never ever ever compromise your vision just so I can fit it all heh. No, that was wonderful. I appreciate when one of these gives you so much flavor for a character, then also a bunch for someone else entirely.
