Obligatory get a Target Red Card post. Honestly there's no reason not to have one at this point. It eliminates the balance pings, gives 5% off, and free shipping no matter the amount you spend. Mine is the debit version because I didn't want another credit card. It just links to my bank account and is like using my debit card.

I did get one a couple years ago, but it got stolen in the mail and they drained my bank account into negative $1,000. Technically the account is still open, but I cut off access to my bank information. I can't see myself opening it back up again.

No one at Target could even tell me how the person even activated the card in the first place.

Hey, I found a spider-man 77 in a random wal-mart, and I recall people looking for them.

I don't want it but I picked it up in case anyone wants it. I'm away from home but if someone wants to cover the cost and shipping it's yours.

You just got to wait until I get home to do that stuff in a few days.

My dad would stop at 7-11 periodically and buy himself a slurpee to give me the cup. I think he probably bought them at lunch and put vodka in the slurpee so he could drink at work... but man I got cool super hero merch...
Bestie, are we accidentally revealing childhood trauma through what we thought were fun anecdotes? Because I'm the king of that.

This might be the case, but they seem plentiful in certain areas:

Dan Larson reported the same, but his posts are private so I can't embed them here.

Obligatory “be careful with debit cards” post. If a thief gets ahold of your credit card info, they gain access to Visa/Master Card/etc.’s money. If a thief gets access to your debit card, they get access to your money. Having multiple credit cards usually doesn’t negatively impact your credit score either unless you carry a balance on all of them. I have 5, but only use two regularly.

I'm an irresponsible child when it comes to credit cards and paying off my balances so it's always debit for me. Or recently Affirm pay in 4 is a godsend because I pay no interest and it is paid off quickly.

I've only had one incident where my debit card got compromised, fortunately. The bank quickly reversed it and I got my money back.

Oddly enough, the one time I needed to do a credit card charge back thanks to Ferrara Market and their scam, Citi Bank who held the credit card at the time ruled in THEIR favor because they provided a tracking number. Didn't even bother to click the damn thing and see that it never was even picked up. I was out $60 there and cancelled and paid that card off right after.
