I love artist Nick Cardy. I really do. He was one of DC's primary cover artists back in the late 60's and 70's. I especially liked it when he did horror comics A nice touch here is the book's logo as a word ballon. It is indeed the Witching Hour.

From January 1953, Tales From The Crypt #34:

I never thought of Ray Bradbury as "America's Top Horror Writer" but I'm not going to argue with the editors at EC Comics. And truthfully Ray could write some pretty scary stuff when he wanted to. Here EC adapted Ray's short story "The Witch's Cauldron", about a group of mortuary employees who were haunted by the spirit of an old woman that wanted her body returned to her.

The cover is by Mad Magazine legend Jack Davis.

The DC app put the first issue of DC KO up right away. Ridiculous premise, like even I had a hard time swallowing it and I'm an unabashed fan of 90's Image. Books like this make me really, really miss George Perez. Having dozens of characters loses impact when all but five are scribbles. I did appreciate the writing outside if the premise.

I watched House of Frankenstein and House of Dracula on streaming last night. Great movies. So today it's going to be another Monster Mash.

Too bad Living Mummy and Manphibian didn't get in on that.

Those 70's Marvel horror comics were so much fun.

Darkseid is powered with negative juju and is going to destroy the multiverse and is impossible to stop in one week's time so the only choice is to have Booster Gold (who has been powered by negative juju due to months/years of being tortured by Darkseid) restart the heart of Earth which resets yadda yadda and then it'll make everyone fight in a tournament to determine a winner who will become an omniscent multi-god instead of Darksied that we'll have to trust to restart reality.

Folks are claiming Rogue is the only one facing away from camera because she's supposedly pregnant now. Gambit hasn't been a whole character for years now. Dunno what this portends for him.
