Marvel Cinematic Universe Figure Discussion

Mini rant warning:

That's good, of course, but what I'm wondering is, why are they still experimenting? There are companies that have had these things figured out and implemented for a year or more. If you're sculpting something ALL NEW for an MCU or the occasional ambitious comic figure, why not use the latest articulation? Where's that ball hinged waist and functioning butterfly joints? Why can't they do splits? Stop experimenting and just do it. It's like saying a car company is still experimenting with power locks and rear view mirrors.
I have to imagine there are budget constraints.

Punisher is nice, though. The same waist critique applies, but at least it makes a little more sense, since he's wearing the thick armor. I do like the cut they gave him along the armor, though; feels like an implementation of the articulation you don't see often. I agree on the expression, though- the likeness is great and I definitely know who it is, but it comes off a little....sad? Or like a guy having a bad day that then sees a cute puppy and starts to cheer up a bit? Not quite the super dark Punisher we're expecting.
I feel like an alternate yelling head would have been great for Frank, especially based on the action he gets into in Born Again season 1.

Oh, yeah. Or a scowl or something. It's just too stoic for someone as intense as Frank. I can see them wanting to avoid bigger expressions, after Rudd's Aunt Man smirk got so much flak, but it could've gone a long way here. Still, it's probably the best Jon Bernthal likeness we've gotten. Makes the old Punisher look like the knockoff version, Bon Jernthal.

Allegedly Red is in stock at my closest Target but I haven't been able with the Noreaster rolling in to get over there to see if it's true. He's supposed to ship from Amazon in two weeks anyway so it's not a big deal but getting antsy.

Bit sad that there was nada MCU news at all at NYCC. Maybe one day soon/some time next year we might get a little crumb! MCM London maybe?

I like bluffing comic figures into my MCU - so perhaps the Werewolf by night can be a stand in, the WW2 Logan and I wondered if the new Iron Man armour could act as a stand in for the end of season Iron Heart armour. Close enough to fudge/excuse to spend more money from my point of view!

I would if I could do that more. Right now it's just two (Ares and Doom, and I like that Doom so much that I'm not even sure I'll replace him with the actual MCU figure), and I have a few video game figures that pass for live action really well.

Yessss good ones. I also have the recent 3-pack doom release with a Downey headsculpt. Amazing!

My Targets have been getting slammed with Thunderbolts 2pks. One had four each and another had eight each. The one with four also had three BA Punishers.

Daredevil popped back up in stock shipping from Target just now, ordered him and Punisher and canceled my Amazon order. Not in a huge rush for Punisher but I'm always dying for a new Murdock.

I'm waiting on DD and Punisher from BBTS. Feels like forever since we got new MCU figures, but now that I think about it I guess it's only been a few months since Thunderbolts and F4 came out...
