General Marvel Legends

Gorgon and Executioner were both in my Top 10, now I have to figure out how to fill TWO spaces?!

To give you an idea how how far down my list we are, my top 10 also includes Master of the World and Dr. Bong.

Pulled my top ten from the discussion thread:

Skurge the Executioner - insane that we don't have him yet. In a way, it's great that he could be released now, when Hasbro is kind of at its best. But a good release of Skurge would necessitate an update to Amora.
Gladiator (Melvin Potter) - I thought he was right around the corner after Whirlwind came out with those arm blades.
Colleen Wing - like Executioner, a good release of Colleen Wing would necessitate an update to Misty Knight.
Hepzibah (Starjammers) - They were on a roll with Corsair and Ch'od (and Binary). Finish the team with Hepzibah and Raza.
Skin (Generation X) - Maybe a little tougher to achieve than Synch, but not as tough as Penance or Mondo. Use those stretched Reed Richards hands and bare feet from Legion. Keep him skinny like Pizza Spidey, but maybe use the Amazing Fantasy body?
Wonder Man (WCA) - The sleeveless Wonder Man from Abomination wave doesn't count as a '90s Simon.
Yellowjacket - I've made so many customs of this guy that I'd love to replace with an official figure. Vulcan body please.
Ares (Dark Avengers) - He needs a redo.
Ronin (New Avengers) - They need a redo.
Echo (New Avengers) - Great design. Go with initial appearances with the hand print face paint.

BAF M'Baku - Call him M'Baku.

HasLab/oversize Mangog - I can't think of many other big characters I want or need. Growing characters don't really need to be HasLab big.

Maximum Iceman - modular ice slides, please.

Box Set Outback X-Men Colossus, Psylocke, Gateway - Topless Colossus, armored Psylocke, pot-belly Gateway.

Just one crossed off after today.

I've felt a little down on ML lately but today was pretty great. Even though all the reveals had been rumored the actual figures were better than I could have imagined. The Inhumans look incredible (love that we're getting that costume for Medusa), the Executioner wave is solid all around, and Cardiac is a thing of beauty. The team really knocked all these out of the park.

I was swayed on the Inhumans by it being the *exact* look I wanted for Medusa. And, of course, by the sculpts being absolute works of art.

To the team's credit, they're working hard to make these figures the best they can be and help justify the cost.

Phantom Rider & Werewolf are two LONG time wants taken care of, hope they mean more related characters (western, horror, Rangers) are coming.

This is one of the more exciting sets of reveals in a long time. I guess if they were going to debut amazing figures of 4 of the 6 members of the Inhumans royal family it was always going to be my favorite event, but to add so many other great characters like Skurge, Phantom Rider, Werewolf by Night, Cardiac....amazing stuff!

This feels like a significant tranche of never before made characters:
  • Gorgon
  • Triton
  • Executioner
  • Phantom Rider
  • Cardiac
  • Ai Apaec / Dark Spider-Man
  • Warbow (already revealed)
  • Werewolf by Night (not technically, but his last figure was over 20 years ago...)
6 or 7 brand new characters out of the 13 revealed today. This is what I like to see!

The fringe on Enchantress's skirt looks slightly different than the previous versions - the hangs lower and more of the strands are separated from each other. Just wishful thinking, but since this appears to be a newly sculpted piece, maybe they also sculpted Mantis's fringe skirt at the same time... :)
