Star Wars Black Series

Received Shaak Ti from Amazon, and she's a great looking figure. Same issues with a lot of cloth goods I had with Luminara, but I guess it's unavoidable unless you want a road cone. I like how her head came out, and she looks solid wielding her lightsaber. I'm just so cramped for space in my Prequel display. I've been anti-prequel for a long time, but came around on figures from that trilogy because Hasbro has been killing it. The droids got me into clone commanders, and they've been pumping out Jedi, so my single shelf is now overstuffed. I can't really spread out either, because I want to keep the display chronological. I might have to remove lightsabers, and/or (Andor) put figures into the most vanilla of poses.

My Star Wars shelf has undergone a couple changes through the years. I did vanilla posing for so long to cut back on space, but after getting rid of some figures and having a little extra room, I experimented a bit with posing, and I don't know if I'd ever go back now. It just breathes so much life into the display. I totally get the desire to keep things chronological; that was me for a while too, until I just had too much to deal with. In order to utilize the space better and not have one movie/show bleed onto another shelf, I had to go in order of how large each section's offerings are; now it's spread over a couple shelves, with those shelf organizer things to help utilize the space better- OT/ST on one, Prequels/Clone Wars/Solo/Andor on one, Rebels/Rogue One/Fallen Order/Survivor/Kenobi/EU on one, and Bad Batch/Mando/Book/Ahsoka on another. Skeleton Crew and Acolyte (and Jabba) have little sections kinda off to the side currently. I thought it would bug me, not being chronological, but it hasn't; if anything, it's freed me up a bit to be a bit more clever. There's no saying I can't change it again if I wanted to.

I ended up having to use an entirely different shelf for the army builders- clones, droids, and otherwise (not Mandalorians, but I'll probably soon have to implement that change as well). Means that some of the commanders/named clones aren't in their trilogy spots, but that's okay; I wouldn't have room for the main characters otherwise. I don't have nearly as many as I used to, and I sold off a lot of the extras I had, but they're the ones that I'm mostly keeping in vanilla poses for now to cut down on space usage, mostly because the clones and stormtroopers can stand in vanilla poses and still be screen accurate.

Far be it from me to tell you how to do your display, I'm just saying, as a recovering chronological truther, there is life on the other side. 🤪

Well, I do still have some limitations set for myself. I've killed off most troop building, certainly for anything non-OT. I have some troops, but maybe one or two of them each. I definitely didn't want a lot of Prequel clones, so I just have commanders. I have one of each model battle droid (BD, Super BD, Destroyer). After a certain point, I realized excessive troops were the unnecessary, and the real bane of my limited display space. I might have to start pulling Stormtroopers from my OT displays to condense them and give the pre-OT stories room to breathe.

This is what I'm thinking too. I need to get rid of some troopers. I don't need 12 Snow Troopers in my Hoth display, or however many it is. If I had a long shelf and a diorama built on it then it would be fine but it is just 1 shelf in a Detolf.

Just picked up Sebulba at GameStop and.. what a fun figure! Always enjoyed his design, and the execution is stellar. He feels a little rubbery, but only because he’d been in my hot car for a few hours. But he balances very easily. So much personality. It’s a shame he’s so small, because my Phantom Menace figures are at the rear of my display. Young Anakin is completely blocked, and once I find space for him, so will Sebulba.

I quit army building too. I won't have more than two of any trooper, and those two have to be distinguishable (like the two Shoretroopers, or one Sandtrooper with orange pauldron/no backpack and another with white pauldron and a backpack), EXCEPT regular Stormtroopers are my big weakness.

The Jedha Patrol figure should not be a $35.99 figure jayjonah. It has always been at the basic price point any time it's been released. So, I don't know why Target it has it for that price now. I pre ordered mine for $24.99 the day it went up.

My Range Trooper actually shipped today. But my Jedha Patrol Trooper hasn't.

YakFace made a new post; looks like May 4th will bring about some new pre-orders (as we probably all thought it would). My money is on at least a new ROTS Anakin and Obi-Wan. Trying to think of what other parts got leaked that we haven't seen a follow-up on- could this finally be when we get a Stranger reveal?

We could see the Stranger. And like you said maybe ROTS Anaking and Obi Wan. Maybe Barriss Offee or the Mace Windu vs. Supreme Chancellor Palpatine 2 pack as well. Whatever they show, I'm ready.

I got the ROTS Cody in the mail today. I went ahead and ordered him since he is in stock, and my pre order from October 2024 STILL has no movement.

I keep trying to cancel my old Comm. Cody pre order, but Wal-Mart won't let me lol.

Speaking of too many troops/building, why is Bacara so popular? I saw ROTS last night at the theatre and there is a ton of that movie I did not remember but was his only part killing Ki-Adi? Did Bacara have plots on Clone Wars? I picked him up from Amazon thinking the movie would refresh my memory but I may just return him.

Also, were the Commando Droids in live-action or just CW? Don't remember spotting them, either.

The Commando Droids were just in the Clone Wars (and Battlefront II), and not the films. As for Bacara, I think people just like his look and the fact he kills Ki Adi Mundi. I think Bacara is only in like 1 episode of the Clone Wars cartoon. I'm sure in Legends he got more story in the comics and books. But as far as Canon, he hasn't made too many appearances.

Thanks, maybe if I see them in Target and the price is listed at 35.99 may ask that question.

I remember seeing that Jedha Stormtrooper get deeply discounted on Amazon. It always tempted me, but I had stopped troop building by then, and already had two Jedha Stormtroopers in the display.

I stopped into one of the smaller Targets near me today, and I was surprised to see a bunch of the Jedha troopers already on the pegs. No Range Troopers, though. Didn't stop to see how much they rang up for. I know they're just reissues, but usually even those get put up for pre-order these days and release a while later.
