UPF (Formerly LPZZ Toys)

Man I hope they bring these to market sooner than later! Totally agree the HUSH figures need more chest. That's the only reason Mafex still has an edge. Will be paying close attention. Would love some X-Men figures or Spider-man from these guys.
Please no, no X-Men, my wallet can't take the abuse. It flinches now every time I reach in my pocket for my keys.

As much as I love MAFEX—and some of their figures are truly perfect—LPZZ and Inart look to be raising the bar. My holy grail is a perfect Batman figure. I don't think I've ever gotten anything better than an 8/10. Our time is coming.
Hush Batman is looking pretty good. Much beefier than the MAFEX, though I wish his chest was pumped out a bit more. He looks better than Superman, at least, who almost has a flat chest. I'd like to see them rework that.
Gah, this is the kind of criticism I wish I hadn't read at all. You nailed it. The chest musculature is the one glaring flaw on a nearly perfect figure.

What an amazing time to be a 1/12 Batman figure collector! Between LPZZ/UPF and InArt, we have the following Batman variations to look forward to:
  • Arkham City
  • Hush
  • Absolute (both companies!)
  • TDKR
  • White Knight
  • BvS (both companies!)
  • Arkham Origins (both companies!)
  • The Batman (both companies!)
Did I miss any?
LPZZ showed Origins Batman? The Inart one looks incredible but I'd be so much happier with LPZZ because their figures are bigger.

I apologize. It is such a common problem in the toy world. So many companies seem to prioritize that front facing shoulder width, but neglect the front to back. And when you look at a Jim Lee comic hero, that’s where he loads up on the beef. I can excuse it on a $25 Marvel Legend, but hard to overlook on a premium figure.

I just took my MAFEX Hush Batman off the shelf to compare to the InArt Batman and it almost made me sad to be reminded of how scrawny he is. I keep him draped in the cape to lessen it, but they really missed on the proportions there.

On IG, the designer said he’s aware of the concern, and is trying to balance a proportionate chest with the articulation, primarily the butterfly joints.

I really wish that Catwoman design didn't have heels. I'm not a huge fan of the Arkham looks, but Catwoman is close enough for me. I guess I'll just wait for their inevitable comic release. It'll be a year or three, but it should be worth it.

I'm thrilled with the MAFEX Bane, DKR Superman (rocking the Mezco classic head), and Nightwing, but basically every other 6" DC character in my collection is up for replacement.

100%. I have a lot of problems with the MAFEX Hush Bats. The cape's too heavy, the figure is crotch-forward (probably as a counterweight to the cape), and he's too lithe. It's closer to Daredevil or Spider-Man's bulk than anything Lee drew.

Bruce Wayne is supposed to be 6'2, 210. He splits the difference between Black Panther (6', 200) and Captain America (6'2, 220). I see them all as solidly built, much closer to the LPZZ prototypes than the MAFEX figures.

While MAFEX Hush Batman easily the best comic Batman figure out there, it's far from perfect.
The chest on the Hush Batman is certainly missing some meat, but it doesn't look too bad...it's passable. The Superman is where it is really glaring to me.
Agreed. If the rest of the figure is as good as it looks, I can ignore the chest.

I probably won't get Superman at all. My MAFEX DKR Superman is the appropriate level of brick shithouse.

I saw that. It sounded to me like he was happy with where it was and didn't want to sacrifice the aesthetic of the butterfly joints.

Super weird that he claims these will be out early next year if they're still tweaking the design.

In all honesty, I'm not really feeling these guys, they have some ugly articulation cuts and aren't bringing enough new to the table as far as Hush goes. I'm not bothered about the 'not muscly enough' thing some are talking about regarding the Mafex figure, I've never really considered regular Bruce a brick shithouse so I don't need a version that looks roided out to hell. And as far as the other properties go, there's nothing they're showing so far that InArt aren't doing better with maybe the exception of their TDKR Selina headsculpt.
