Magic the Gathering Legends

I don't have mine anymore, but is that neck different than the RYV Spidey execution? I don't recall.
Yes, think a GI Joe or the Egghead figure from Marvel Legends. Except this neck literally IS the same hard plastic that makes up the chest. It's all one piece. Often with GI Joe's you at least get a separate neck that plugs in. This is just a lollipop style peg sticking up out of that hard plastic neck hole, however the peg extends so far into the chest that it's almost more like a 5poa figure. It almost forces him to look up in most cases. So while it CAN look up, I wouldn't say it's as good as RYV (from what I remember), but the difference between looking straight ahead and "looking down" seems like about 5-10 degrees tops. At least with looking up it seems like it might be about 35 degrees. There IS a small notch taken out of the back of the neck to even allow him to be able to do that, which is a shame as I figured with all the innovations going into the male figures (the females still suffer from torso's from years ago) they'd at least transfer some of that innovation into every new A-lister, especially a "niche" version like "battle damaged" Spiderman, which we're not likely to get again soon I'd imagine.

Amazon dropped off my battle "ravaged" Spidey today with no notice of it ever shipping. I was excited for it but the neck is a ball peg sunk so deep in the chest that it's just that...a peg. It doesn't move and barely flexes and certainly doesn't hold it's position. So the head just pivots side to side, barely down, moreso up and it's like beat up Pete is more mannequin than man. In hindsight I can't say I'd pay $40 for this knowing what I know out of box. Now off to Ebay I go to find out what I can get for this MTG card.
You should have Amazon send you a replacement. No need to suffer.

Problem I keep noticing on ML figs, but notably on Iron MJ - the butt blocks the legs from going back at the thighs. Her legs can't go backwards at all from her waist for a cool swinging pose unless you splay them, and even then it's not even close to the pose I'm trying to get.

Everyone likes a sculpted butt, but is this something that bothers anyone else?

I do prefer the figures that sculpt the cheeks as part of the leg instead of a permanent butt flap.

Agent Anti-Venom and Man Wold showed up today via Amazon.

AAV is nicer than his black counterpart. He comes with two sets of pistols, two green muzzle flashes and two barrel smoke effects, two fists, two clawing hands, and trigger grip hands. Most importantly, he comes with symbiote tendrils that plug into his back and can hold guns. He has a hole in his back for this, which the black version doesn’t. So that edges him out. Otherwise it’s the same figure in white.

Man Wolf is nice. Looks like a 100% new sculpt. He comes with a quiver, with five arrows that are connected and can be folded to fit into his quiver, a single arrow and bow reused from Hawkeye, and a sword reused from Taskmaster/Zemo. His jaw is hinged and his neck is barbell/socket, so it has really nice ranges. The fur of his neck is weird, it allows for all that range but spins around insecurely. He also comes with a left fist and a right open hand, and two grip hands. He has the best executed rotating shoulder pads I’ve seen yet. All in all, an excellent addition.

My Man-Wolf arrives tomorrow and I’m really looking forward to him. Agent Anti-Venom as well, but that’s a Christmas gift for my youngest so he won’t get opened until then.
