McFarlane DC Multiverse

I wanted Diana but not at $80 - I have no need of the monster. Too much $ spent on the recent Bat PO’s. Comfortable with the decision.

Gonna be a lot of unwanted Godzillas on Ebay I'd imagine. I have to believe having seen how quickly Wonder Woman in certain costumes sells out Todd will likely put out a couple more very popular looks of hers before the property is done. Same goes for Harley. He may not see the sales numbers on female figures in general, but I don't think he's above noticing that certain key ones sell out.

Don't personally need a Margot Harley personally thankfully.
 
Skipping this one was an easy decision for me. I foolishly bought the Supes/Godzilla already and have the Collectors Edition Wonder Woman, so I'm good. I've been buying way too much stuff as it is.

Very interested to see what the pricing on the tiers end up being. The Batmobile wasn't too unreasonable, all things considered. I assume (hope) the base level wouldn't be the same for both- 80 for the Batmobile is one thing, but for a figure is way too much. Though if the pricing is lower, I wonder if that means they'll need more backers than for the Batmobile in order to meet the goal.
 
For three figures and a bunch of accessories, I’d guess we have to top out at $150.00. And I’d say that’s still high by about $25.00 at least.

Just speculating because I’m certainly not buying.

Todd’s got two preorder dates up ay EE.

9/30/25 should be the next digital wave.

10/2/25 item unknown.

Two weeks from tomorrow is Todd’s NYCC panel at 4:00 PM Eastern. I’m assuming the usual dog and pony show and maybe some announcements of new licenses?

In terms of DC, I’d say Todd pushes on until the very end. He’s not gonna lay down like Mattel did when they lost the license. The guys on the McFarlane YouTube TV show seem pretty upbeat about the rest of this year and into next year.

NYCC seems to be one of Todd’s favorite shows. Last year he showed more 7” DC product at one time than he ever has before. Something like 25 new never seen before figures. I’m hoping for something in that neighborhood this year too.

I didn't even know the collectors' club was a thing until the other day, and only just now signed up for it. It appears they don't retroactively add your purchases to your point total, so I'm sitting on a big fat 0 right now.

But that is a good point- if he charged $250 for 2 figures and a bunch of accessories before, I could easily see him doing it again, though hopefully not. Either way, I ain't gonna stress about it. I'd like a Robbie, Leto, and Phoenix on my shelf, but I ain't gonna lose any sleep over not having them.

(of course, I say that now, but we'll see if that holds up later on down the road 😅)
 
I saw someone on FB claim that MOTU New Eternia was the hardest modern line to collect. Without knowing too much about it, I know for a fact that is incorrect. No way anything tops McFarlane DC Multiverse in that category.

I've just resigned to the likelihood of paying $50-ish on Feebay as soon as the glut of him gets released. With the number of McFarlane preorders and exclusives I've had cancelled on me, Ebay is my newest abusive relationship. So long gambling, I've a new dark mistress and her name is PayPal!
 
Giving the McF all their due - the new HS on Diana is fantastic. Not enough to make me buy her on that old ass body and the Godzilla I have no need for.

I mean, $50is is barely making the seller any money. They'd pay close to that just getting Shreck shipped to them. Then they have their eBay fees to cover. I'd say $50ish is optimistic. Sorry to rain on your parade. :). Still.........he's coming to Target and Walmart too. Apparently.
 
I’m at the point of ordering stuff I might want, just to avoid future FOMO as this line ends. It’ll inevitably get more difficult to find things and more expensive when you do. I’ve been going through some of the visual checklists on the internet looking for figures I possibly want/need. I’m reasonably confident I’m where I wanna be.

I don’t see a huge move towards dumping McFarlane collections yet. Driving aftermarket prices down. Might happen when Mattel actually shows us something. But it’s hasn’t started yet.
