Star Wars Black Series

Feels like the smallest drop of liquid cement or gorilla glue will fix the bowcaster. That ain't staying in otherwise.

Oh yeah, you gotta glue that bow. The glue I had came with one of those little brushes to apply, so it was super easy, and I definitely don't regret it. I don't know why they don't just make it all one piece. I'm sure they could do so without making it too brittle.

I got my Sandtroopers and opened two, waiting on the third and I'm not entirely sure why. I would definitely like to get four more to make the squad the goes into Docking Bay 94. What's really fun, to me, about Sandtroopers is they have all this gear but the guys in the suits didn't really care, nor did the people on set, so it's always just the same six guys (then a seventh for the docking bay group) who keep trading weapons, pauldrons, backpacks, pouches, and sometimes even helmets. I'll point out again the orange guys are the only ones in all the scenes who never have the rifle they've given the Sandtrooper figure, but I am in no way complaining because I love that rifle and this is the first time Hasbro has done it at this scale. The orange guy is also the only one to ever carry the T-21 rifle (the one in front when they charge into the docking bay has that rifle just before he falls down).

So... for anyone who wants to know, with the seven I plan to have:
One orange with no shoulder pouches or backpack but the T-21 rifle
One orange with backpack and shoulder pouch and the E-11 (not accurate to the scene but basically he's the one saying "the tracks go off in this direction" in their first scene
One white, folded pauldron with backpack and shoulder pouch and the RT-97 rifle (not accurate to the scene but one of the guys from the roadblock scene)
One white, curved pauldron with backpack and no shoulder pouches with E-11 blaster
One black pauldron with backpack and shoulder pouches with the DLT-19 rifle
One black pauldron with backpack and no shoulder pouches with an E-11 blaster
One with no pauldron, no backpack, no shoulder pouches with the DLT-19 rifle

But you can do six if you wanna do the roadblock scene, or four if you wanna do the "nope, no one answered, on to the next door" guys, or even just two for the ones who come into the cantina looking for Obi-Wan. Or do what looks neat!

I always preferred them to the regular back when power of the force came out because they were easier to get at the time, but it was also the '90s so asymmetrical shoulder pauldrons were what's up.

You're right, heh.

But I also like being able to pick them out as they're individualized. A legion of Stormtroopers is like a sea, while a platoon of Sandies you can pick out pauldron colors, weapons, types of pouches of backpacks, even dirt patterns or wavy brows. Kinda like in the Joe Classified line, I have several Vipers but I made them all a little distinct and gave them individual codenames. I'm not sure why that's important to me, heh.

I'm always forgetting to add Clones to my AOTC line-up and I have a weird question: the Phase 1 Clone Trooper that shipped in the Army Builder pack with the Super Battle Droid: is his helmet wrong or accurate?

The single release of that figure does not have the same mask, or at least paint on the mask - the black lines go all the way down on the Army Builder version, which looks better to me. But the single release appears to be a different version?

I thought I had three clones that all matched and now it's two of one version (Battle Droid army builder) and one of this and that bugs me. And of course, I like more the one I have less of.

I've got a smaller array of sandtroopers and now you've got me thinking I need to do a headcount. I never doubled up on any releasees but I've got enough for a search party.

Found this deleted scene in-progress on my shelf today:

Obi-Wans totally would. :)

That Luke. He kisses everybody. His sister, Obi Wan, Mara Jade. Of course, he could just be saving Obi Wan with some last-minute CPR. The cuteness of today's Mandalorian and Grogu trailer could have put Ben right on his ass.

Obi-Wan: Look, the ancient texts say the Jedi form no attachments. Nowhere within them does it say Jedi don't f*ck. Just wrap up your lightsaber. Have fun.
