Four Horsemen Studios Mythic Legions

I am so eager for the bear mount... its one of my most anticipated toys of the year. Can't wait to get it in and pose him on my shelf... My plan currently is to have Vikor ride him in my MOTU Classics display. He-Man has Battle Cat, King Greyskull has his Lion... A bear makes perfect sense for Vikor.
 
I ordered a bunch of stuff from that bear wave because it leaned WAY into my favorite fantasy themes. Barbarian elf, armored Viking types, the bear, and that dwarf two-pack were right in my wheelhouse. Fortunately the wave before it (which is supposed to ship sooner than the bear) I only really wanted the two humans with visible faces. Couldn't pass up an aging knight and an eldritch knight.
 
Before I got central AC, the ankles on my normal-size 2.0 figures would get soft in the summer heat and they'd eventually fall over. My goblins could still stand up under their own weight in the heat, but my 2.0 skeleton, vampires, and cosmic ladies would all lean like smooth criminals until they fell over. I suspect that might explain the droopy moose, which absolutely sounds like a euphemism.
 
I can see them using that chunky belly body on other brutes at least. Smaller trolls or maybe chunky orcs? That torso seems prime for reuse for tank type characters.
 
Yeah, this new guy opens the door for some fun parts reuse. Could see it on a lot of brute options. And no way they don't reuse the elephant head, which I don't blame them for. Their snake and cat heads so far are fantastic and I keep buying them even if they're just repaints.

I bet they use it on a MotU homage of Snout Spout but maybe not much else. The Figura figures haven’t seen a lot of reuse yet.

Good point. I think I thought there was more reuse cos I just opened the Headless Horseman who has an unusual amount of parts shared with Mythic Legions and was looking at blank bodies to pop some extra heads on and remembered the use the old elf/thin body under Father Xmas's robes, but other than those two there really hasn't been a ton of overlap. (I think they're reusing the Red Mask body for the zombie with the dragon? I don't have that Obscura so I'm not sure.) All the really big new elements tend to stay in the subline.

Using it for a Snout Spout homage is genius though.
 
Speaking of the Red Death body, when I saw that first version with the black skin, I immediately thought of the bog bodies they've unearthed in northern Europe. A year and a half later, I finally have my bog shaman.

I was checking on my order status for Ganesha, hoping it would be shipping soon. And I noticed I have three unfulfilled POs lingering. For Bodvar the bear, Leodysseus, and Anthophilees (the MotU Buzz Off tribute). Anyone know the ETA on any of these?

Not anytime soon. All stars 6 is the next wave of figures that will hit and is currently in production. think the bear wave is after that. End of year at the earliest I think was the last I heard.
 
I heard similar - All Stars were supposed to be in Q2 but I'm betting we see that in the late summer, bear wave I'd be shocked if we see it this year though they did have it slated for the second half of 2025 when they posted a timeline a while back. IIRC there's an entire OTHER Cosmic Legions wave ahead of the one that has the Buzz Off homage.
 
Definitely in for a set or more of each of those. I’ll have to try and track down the Legions Con versions as I do like those extra heads.
