I got my extremis iron man set in and he’s nice. I’m thinking of using the mandarin body for a Morgan Stark custom but I need headsculpt suggestions. I need someone who looks like Tony stark but is much much older

Boy, Almost-Maximum Extremis Iron Man is pretty damn good. This is so close to my ideal action figure. So close to being perfect! Fixed quite a few of the frustrating parts of the original release. Much prefer this color scheme as well. I popped mine apart trying to get some more articulation out of some points, and what an adventure that turned out to be. The neck is a wild set up...

The ROM on the new Extremis Armor is FANTASTIC!!! Last thing I need is ANOTHER Iron Man, but this guy can arch his back all the way back! And the butterflies are great, and the headsculpt! Really surprised, and disappointed because they chose not to do this the first time they sold this guy.
Mandarin can stand! What a relief. The headsculpts look fantastic in person, though leaving the rings off of two of the three pairs of hands is really an odd choice.

I picked up another loose extremis iron man and I think I’m going to paint it up to look like Iron Man Dio armor from that 12 part anime series that debuted back in 2010

I received my Iron Man / Mandarin 2-pack from Amazon today. They did the stupid thing where they just put a label on the item rather than putting in a box. At least they put it on the back of the box and not the front this time, but that's really annoying. The last item this happened to me on was a figure that I didn't plan to open and I couldn't get all of that label residue off the window.

Yeah they shipped mine like that too. I've seen people complain about it before, but never happened to me until this one. Kind of wild that hasbro does it.

I posted a bunch of pictures on my story over on my Instagram.. I can't stop messing with this upgraded Extremis figure. It's easily the best Iron Man Legend they've made to date.
As for Mandarin, I'll keep the dumb younger Larroca head on the dumb suit body since they ripped the figure right off that one cover. I've been re-reading Fraction Iron Man lately and I just can't stand Larroca's art. He's absolutely awful. I have a slowly growing Larroca corner of my Iron Man Villains shelf that drives me a little nuts. Guy had 0 good designs during his run. Just brutal.
The older De La Torre Haunted story line head I'm trying to work up a body for. I could use the Shang-Chi body and Jump Suit Professor X Hands to emulate the final battle look from Director of SHIELD #28. Director of SHIELD is my favorite modern Iron Man run so the inclusion of the older head sculpt is nice. Wish they chose a different panel to base it off of though, and I don't necessarily love the execution of it either. The head feels large to me on the Shang-Chi body and the skin tones definitely do not match. Kind of threw a wrench in my plans.

So among the deluge of Hasbro stuff that has been arriving constantly the last few days, I got the Extremis/Mandarin today. Wow what an upgrade on Extremis!! Very impressive indeed. Not great QC, though: glue spot on the face of the helmet of one of my two, and Mandy’s old head has crazily misprinted eyes on one of the old heads. Mandarin is . . . well, he’s a thin guy in a suit, and that is what it is. The young head is nice and looks like a handsome, imperious Chinese man, if not necessarily screaming “The Mandarin”: the whole thing really only works as Mandy with the ring hands and the effects. Second Mandy immediately became Red Skull, although the body really is too thin to be Schmidt, but my wife says it works so OK.
My wife also doesn’t see any other character those veiny claw-nailed hands could possibly have been sculpted for other than classic Dracula, and I agree with her.
