U.S. Politics

It almost feels like right wing media has to say crazier and crazier shit to stay relevant since glorious leader is always topping them. We're weeks away from someone on Newsmax shoving a roman candle up their ass and firing it at pictures of emaciated orphans.

Be fucking careful, guys:
“This week’s events have caused many people to “out” themselves in support of a VERY dark version of what they *think* is Christianity. Zealotry is always dangerous, and also much of this is teetering on group religious psychosis. Very hard to tell how far down the rabbit hole an individual has gone until an escalation happens.
Stay away from everyone jumping on the martyrdom/vengeance train, if you can. If you cannot stay away from them, watch them closely.
These people are potentially VERY dangerous, especially in groups, and you will not know who or how dangerous until it is too late and something bad has already happened.
Also don’t forget to keep speaking the truth and rejecting the false mythology that is being smoothed over the foul reality of the person in question.”

That's what I'm afraid of, honestly. I know that 99% of all those tough talkers online are just peacocking because they have the protection and bravery that comes with being behind a screen. But all it takes is one weirdo lacking comprehension and critical thinking who takes their words as a call to action. And you just know that if it happens, the same respect the Republicans demand be given to CK won't be given to any victims. It'll be a "you brought this on yourself" mindset, unless somehow the victim is also a Republican, then it'll be "thoughts and prayers".

The Onion is on fire these past few weeks.

well there is only one group that hates the media

Also, don't silence yourself of course, but be aware of WHERE you speak up because not all digital town halls are created equal. My author account got reported for "self harm" over on a Meta-owned site and I wasn't even saying anything that dark, I was mostly sharing other peoples' comments and pointing out that it shouldn't be hard to live your life in a way that you have to REMIND people to not piss on your grave before you're in it. Basically, if you're on a Meta or Musk-owned site, consider saving your energy for places that aren't actively dangerous. (I had to put out a PSA that those sites are not the real world and if your favorite creators aren't loud there, that doesn't mean they're the enemy, they just know Zuck will sell your information to murderous government officials in a heartbeat if they offer him the right deal.)

Elon Musk is full on, irredeemably evil. Like anyone who says true evil doesn't exist in the world needs to look at his actions. And he's not even COOL evil, he's not a comic book villain, he's what if the pettiest, shittiest, stupidest person you know had the power to do whatever they want without consequence. Between him and Trump and Stephen Miller and dozens of others, I wish I was religious so I could believe eternal damnation was waiting for them.

Second richest now. I know it doesn't really matter but to him it probably does since he is losing at yet another thing.

I had to do this assignment for a creativity and Leadership class. They wanted me to brainstorm positive and negative leadership qualities. Since I am over student and I've got years under the belt, I have racked off like 40 traits each.

And then I have to make a superhero and super villain. Which is pretty cool.

But my point is when I was looking at all the negative traits after I created my super villain... you know who it hit beat for beat. And it wasn't even intentional. That walking abortion just exudes everything s***** about every s***** manager, boss, or officer I've ever had.

Amazing.

RE Shithead's List: lot of nurses, too. I know this because I unfriended so many old coworkers this weekend. People are just ripping off masks and slapping on armbands. It feels like They Live.

I covered healthcare for a few publications for years and years and I was shocked to learn how far right so many nurses are. Doctors, too. Though I did interview a pediatric surgeon last month who basically said the United CEO had it coming and I was like—well then! On the record and everything!
