I thought we had a thread for this but could not find it.

That first wave was fun. In the end, I bought all the figures but Cap. Still might track him down.

The new Iceman reveal looks pretty sharp. I would like a little more semi-opaque frosting but, I'll definitely grab him. And, while I might like a cool ice slide, I'm glad he's being offered in this format and won't cost $50+ dollars.

Are they finally making a decent Iceman? This guy actually looks pretty great. I'm surprised they didn't include an X-Factor belt since they've been working on that team this year. I'll pretend that is a surefire sign that there is an X-Factor set on the way featuring the rest of the crew.

Iceman is one of those characters they’re tip-toeing towards the perfect one and this isn’t quite there yet. I like the blast effects, but I want some paint work to sell the frosty finish, and a properly angular ‘Amazing Friends’ headsculpt at least, if not angular Crystar style body all over.

I feel like it’s going to take a Maximum set to get everything perfect, and I’ll probably bite on that. Just means I’m keeping my money to myself on all these interim ones.

I really thought it was the Amazing Fantasy body when they first showed it, but looking at it again and I see it's maybe Sunfire? That's a bummer.

I might pick up Iceman just to have a decent one in my display until the MAFEX figure drops.

it's crazy how they manage to string us along for small characters. not just wolverine, iron man, and cap, they gotta drag us with Iceman for years on the same old buck, one a year basically. i agree with everything you said, all the new parts are there, but the reuse could easily be better without any work. paint certainly could use some work so we know he's ice and not smoke or whatever.

As far as I know, Iceman is a one-off? According to Beamish's rumor/leak list, the lineup for the wave is...
Constrictor
Falcon
Daredevil
Spider-Man
Absorbing Man
Unknown sixth figure (possibly Magik from 8-3-25 rumor/leak)

But I'm thinking maybe that unknown sixth figure could very well be Iceman. (Sorry @TheSameIdiot)

I like him. He reminds me alot of the old ice sled version from Toy Biz that got repacked 20 times. And you put him in the freezer and his ice showed on the figure. Unfortunately most of those yellowed with time. Like a thousand dogs peed on our snow man. I have the blue one and the white one. Actually, my first white one broke, and I had to get another one. But the blue one I thought was just amazing. He was my default. This will probably be the first secret wars figure I get. Although I still do want Titania. Wish his sled was bigger and not absolutely pathetic like the last one, which this may just be a repack of.

They specifically said Iceman was a standalone Fan Channel BUT that more were coming.

I said this in the other thread but the fact that there are no pictures of him utilizing the ice blast effects has me worried they don't work. Unless I just missed them?

I'm actually a bit surprised that if they were going to do a one-off SW hit they didn't do Volcana, since I really don't know that she'd be allowed at retail without a serious costume compromise (and we saw what happened with Titania).

I could see them doing a FC SW two-pack with Volcana and someone. Or they'll just forever ignore her...

I don't think powered up Volcana is any more problematic than the recent movie Silver Surfer... a powered up unclothed female figure. Why would Volcana be any worse?

Good point! Volcana's curvier frame is probably going to be the hang-up. I wish MCU Surfer's legs weren't re-use comic legs because they read too thick.
