Masters of the Universe: Origins

I had to google it, but Pythonus is who Nepthu becomes? I guess I could have put that together based on the outfit.

My Cartoon Origins figures have shipped from BBTS. And they did correct the price on Shadow Weaver. I imagine the next Wave to go up for preorder will be 200X related.

Well considering there has been no sign of Keclar since Eternia funded I wouldn't get my hopes up of seeing Pythonus in the next few years.
 
Yeah, I definitely don't see the locked Creations stuff getting made. At least not anytime in the next couple of years, and therefore probably not before the line completely dies. Do people want those figures? Yes. Is Mattel spiteful enough to say 'you didn't unlock it, so we're not going to make it?' Also yes.
 
Honestly, I desperately hope it does. And they STILL won't go back and make Pythonus or Keclar, because Mattel actively hates collectors.

My Shadow Weaver is in my POL and they sent an email about the price correction as well. I honestly didn't know there was an error to begin with.

She-Ra and Swiftwind were coming in September, right? Did we ever get a date for the release?

Right now there are 2 dates for September on the Mattel Launch Calendar. September 24, at 12:00PM EST and September 26 with no time announced yet.


So, one of those is She-Ra and Swift Wind.
 
I don’t buy a ton of origins (more of a Masterverse guy) but she ra and swift wind I probably will get.
 
I finally pre ordered the Fright Zone again (NORM told me I had to get it). I had it pre ordered originally but had so much stuff coming in at once them month it released, I cancelled it before BBTS shipped it out. Then, I tried to just not reorder thinking of space. But I have the space, I have all the other vintage Origins playsets, and I know I'd get Slime Pit if they decide to finish the vintage playsets off. I also don't have as much coming in right now.

So, I pre ordered it at BBTS and it should ship later this month.

You won't regret it! It is a great playset. Good upgrade to the original. My only problem is I can't decide which side to display.
 
Yeah, I wondered what I'd do about that too. I think I will display the front as the dominant scene. The back looks cool though when the center floor piece is in it with the Throne up above and all. But yeah, I'm going full frontal.

I'm watching the 80's MOTU movie right now and I'll defend that movie all day long. I know people wanted the cartoon in live action, my buddy who is hard-core MOTU hates it, but I think that movie is 80s gold. Frank Langela's performance burned the place down.

It also did the post-credit scene before it was even a thing.

I love the 80's MOTU Movie. I watch it multiple times a year. It shocked me as a kid though, because it was nothing like the cartoon, toys, mini comics, or artwork from MOTU. And I just kept wondering "where is Battle Cat".

Hey, speaking of the 80's MOTU Movie. Mattel, why don't you give us Blade, Saurod, and Gwildor to help knock off some of that vintage collection you promised you'd finish.

But I'm honestly really excited about this new MOTU Movie next year. And I'm excited to see all the merch and how it's handled. There is supposedly even going to be a Prequel Animated Series.

Which is crazy, because this movie is supposed to show Prince Adam as a child, get sent to Earth to escape Skeletor killing him, and then he returns to Eternia once he grows up and finds the Sword of Power.

So, is the cartoon going to just be about Randor and Keldor before Adam is born? Maybe when King Miro is still alive and ruling.
