General Marvel Legends

I wanna clarify that I want 70s, “hard-boiled private dick” Hannibal, and 70s Frank as well. The 90s/Nightstalkers “we stole costumes from Anne Rice’s Vampire Ball” looks are . . . oof. I mean, *I* definitely dressed like that in the 90s (aheheheh and I never stopped) but I dunno about vampire hunters dressing like romantigoth vampires themselves. Like given his direct family relationship to Dracula himself, Frank Drake dressing like a vampire is the least Frank Drake thing Frank could do.
I dunno, man, I'd LOVE to get a 3pack of the Nightstalkers, especially Blade, in that 90s look. :) Of course, their 70s/80s looks would also be cool to get. Hell, I'd get Blade, in both looks, and pretend that the 70s one is the Blade Doppelganger, from the old 80s handbook look, for the vampires.

Ready to geek out at 6 am pacific time. Saw nothing new on Target’s website, but it is super hard to search accurately. No sign of Mystique or Storm. They did seem to have ‘97 Rogue and Wolverine in stock.

Oh 90s Blade is a *must* and I’d love SwitchBlade as well.

. . . and aaaahhhh you know I’d buy Lestat and Louis—er, 90s Hannibal and Frank. But we NEED the 70s versions, along with Rachel Van Helsing with alt-vampire head for Wolverine mercy-killing action.

Yeah... their 'super fun' event drops new stuff every Friday for 6 weeks so you have to keep checking back for the item you want because you don't know which Friday will be the one.

Super Fun, right?

If 70s Blade is campy, he’s campy in just the same way Jim Lee 90s X-Men are.
😉
He’s certainly a contemporary-to-the-70s design, but in the context of the era and his blaxploitation roots, he’s just as “badass” in 1976 as Wesley Snipes in long black leather was in 1998.

Just sayin’.

Also he was would make an AWESOME action figure. Somewhat colorful design, idiosyncratic eyewear, cool hair, not just guy-in-spandex, fun weapons (EBONY AND TEAK THROWING KNIVES!!!), cool funky vibe, almost kinda Fortnite.

Even as someone who was a teenager at peak comic book purchasing age during Lee's run... I will always, always pick an earlier design for the X-Men, and often even later designs over his. They're fine, they have an iconic place in history, but subjectively, the only X-Man from Lee's run I keep on heavy rotation is Gambit and that's cos Remy hasn't had many iconic redesigns.

(Every time the "what color is Storm's costume" debate comes up I just sit there and say it's black, leather and denim, she wears combat boots, the mohawk is a pain to maintain but WORTH IT)
