Last Movie Watched

I'm not much of a horror person as far as the whole genre goes, but the horror I like I REALLY like, and I think the conjuring movies are some of the best in the last couple decades. Mostly because of their dynamic.
 
I saw Lorraine Warren speak on a panel at WonderCon in 2013. She was very elderly and needed help getting to her seat, but she was still sharp as a tack. I got the sense that she was telling the truth when she talked about her past cases. She came across as being very sincere and also very down to Earth for someone in her profession. She did not strike me as being strange at all.
 
I watched the original Alien with my 12 year old son last night. I expected him to think it was "old" or "slow/boring", but to my delight he absolutely loved it. It was fun seeing his surprise at
the chest burster scene and the reveal that the Xenomorph was on the shuttle.

I feel like the birth is generally well known to most folks these days through pure pop culture osmosis but the real MVP nowadays is the
crew expendable/Ash reveal
, how did he do with that?

I was shocked that he didn't see any of it coming/hadn't been exposed to the infamous scenes. He reacted most to the moments I mentioned above, but he really loved the whole movie, including those moments you mentioned. Even this morning, one of the first things he said to me was "Man, I hate Lambert". Parker was his favorite by a mile.

Right? I loved how into it he was and that he took away the same things I took away. I want to surprise him with a Parker figure- if they exist. Tried looking for a Funko Pop version but couldn't see anything.
