WHICH MEANS they pulled that tooling outta storage - and we know why Hasbro would have it at the ready...
 
I can't find the pics of the Polaris update anywhere - anybody know if it was in a news article or a social post? That run of X-Factor is one of my all-time favorites but I was thinking I'm pretty happy with who we have already, but then remembered how dated the Polaris body is (the spindly legs in particular), wondering if she'll be strong enough to hold up her own head in the new version.
 
I think you might be confused, Doc. It’s not a Polaris update. It’s a Symbiote Jessica Drew that has a repainted Polaris head from the X-Factor two pack with Havok that came out several years ago. She’s this year’s ML offering for the annual Marvel Unlimited premium subscription.

…unless I’m the one that’s confused now which is always possible.

I would have liked to have seen that Jessica Drew as a retro card wave release with a newly sculpted head. I’ve never seen that cover before, but I’m kinda digging that look.

Are they going to resell us X-Factor?

I have to admit the added paint on Strong Guy makes him tempting, but I've completed that team already and I have to call it good.

Maybe @docsilence is talking about the Polaris/Havok 2pk reissue? It may be like Strong Guy, with cosmetic tweaks and additional parts? Or a straight reissue..
 
I believe Havok and Polaris are rumored for the X-Men '97 line, or there's a leak and we're assuming they're headed for that line. I don't remember the specifics, but nothing official is out there yet.

EDIT: According to Beamish's handy rumor thread, the 2-pack is rumored for this year and Havok is rumored for 97 next year.

That's what I was talking about, I'd seen somewhere way up thread about the reissue, misread that there were pics somewhere. Was curious if they were doing a straight reissue or giving her a sturdier base body this time. I got the two-pack rumored reissue mixed up with reusing poor Lorna's overweight head from the old two pack.

I think most of us were already speculating that the rumored X-Men 97 Havok and Polaris will be in their classic X-Factor costumes, and Stong Guy just adds fuel to that particular fire. I can’t imagine that Hasbro wouldn’t give them both new head sculpts, though.
 
I'm happy for another go at X-Factor Havok and Polaris, personally. Peter David X-Factor was a huge want of mine going back to a shoddy Havok custom made out of Toy Biz series 4 Gambit. To have the whole team completed seemed an impossibility for years. Now we've got them, and potentially a second crack at them with improvements? Hell yeah. Gimme a coatless blue Multiple Man with a bunch of different heads while you're at it.
 
I was so psyched to get the original two-pack of X-Factor Havok and Polaris, but the modern bucks are so much improved since then... would love a leaner Havok with butterfly joints and a better head, a sturdier Polaris and maybe an alternate head or two (I know her hair is THE THING from that era but it's so topheavy). But they're good enough for now considering I never expected them to make Strong Guy at all so I figured David/Stroman X-Factor would never happen in Legends. (Anyway sorry for the confusion - I got my X-Factor rumors and my news about the Unlimited figure jumbled up before I had a proper amount of coffee!)
