I lied, it does say August 6th. Hopefully not 2026.
Ok "Donald" another of your "truths" rriigghhtt................I lied, it does say August 6th. Hopefully not 2026.
Why didn't you just unplug the damn thing and get a battery the next day?I once needed batteries to stop my smoke detector from beeping at 1 am and nowhere was open. I went to an AM/PM and begged the guy to sell me batteries through that stupid little window.
I don't know if it's the case with the detector PantherCult was dealing with or not, but I cannot "unplug" mine. They're hardwired into the house...which is weird to me. Why should they need a battery if they are wired? I guess in case of a power outage? Anyway, whenever the batteries die in mine, they make sure that it is in the middle of the friggin' night, when I'm asleep. They cannot be ignored, as that chirp will continue until your sanity frays and you are hearing voices telling you that you should have bought batteries on your last trip to the store. Why didn't you just unplug the damn thing and get a battery the next day?
I canceled my Slice and Dice preorder. I never really cared for them, and I need to cut back a little. At least temporarily since so much stuff has been arriving lately.
Can confirm.I don't know if it's the case with the detector PantherCult was dealing with or not, but I cannot "unplug" mine. They're hardwired into the house...which is weird to me. Seconded. All my detectors are hardwired with a battery for power outage. It's the law in my parts. Can confirm.
Ah. well that part is already understood.Oh, I meant the losing sanity part, but yeah, that too. At least in my apartment building lol.
I have one of those in my place that's hard-wired in. It started going off at like 10pm once when my daughter (now 15) was a baby and was napping. I'm not ashamed to admit that I literally ripped it out of the wall. Where my fellow parents at? You guys get it.I don't know if it's the case with the detector PantherCult was dealing with or not, but I cannot "unplug" mine. They're hardwired into the house...which is weird to me.
