Tracking toy tariffs

Wait I'm sorry that didn't register in my brain until just now. I need a source on that, I need to hear it with my own two damn ears.

Oh yea. There's a video of dude getting peed on by Russian chicks in a Russian hotel room from years back. I never forgot. I just don't think that's the worst of his crimes lol.

It may have gotten deleted like a bunch of other shit they wanna cover up.

It was part of the Steele dossier. An intelligence file that claimed our president is compromised because of his connections to Russia.

I went from believing it to disbelieving it over the course of Trump 1.0. Now that we know Trump very cleverly covered up the Russiagate scandal with a huge assist from his friends in the media, I think it's probably true again.

Sadly, it doesn't even register for me anymore. I don't think it'd make the top 100 on a list of my issues with Trump.

Trump's constant deference to Putin certainly gives the appearance that the Kremlin has some kind of leverage on him, but a pee tape just seems so unlikely given that he's a notorious mysophobe and it's not like he lacks for other exploitable vices. And isn't one of Trump's super powers his utter lack of shame? Why would he be so easily manipulated just for appearing in a tape of Russian prostitutes peeing on a presidential suite bed when he's done so much worse? They've got something on him, but a pee tape just seems so banal and mundane in Trump world.

Right, the pee tape is, forgive me, a drop in a massive bucket now. But at the time it was a big "wuh-hut?" moment for a lot of people.

But yeah, we all know russians paid way too much for property Trump was selling to buy out his debt.

All kidding aside, I think this is one of the things that's made Trump so hard to pin down. He's such a cartoon villain that normal people don't believe half the shit we know about him.

It's the same with the things that literally come out of his mouth. "He said he'll sic the National Guard on cities?" Nah. "He said he'll deport a kind old grandma who's lived here for 50 years?" I don't believe it. "He'll end cancer research?" Liberal lies.

This so much. I kind of wonder what kind of effect this is having on me but when someone asks if I've heard the latest rant from the Tangerine Tyrant, they could make up the absolute, most ludicrous fascist edict and I'd believe them. I'm not like that with anything else. I'm skeptical of any outlandish claim except when it comes to the Apricot Asshole.

I think if there is actual video evidence of the pee scandal that is what is most damaging. I know, I know, his side would dismiss it as fake, but the reality is that even just like with Epstein there is enough of a vocal minority that it would be highly damaging. Think about how the Epstein files have been pretty damaging for Trump and there is no video evidence of his involvement in anything illegal outside of hanging around with Epstein.

Imagine a video of Trump, most likely naked, being submissive to some women peeing on him? First it would be out there forever. Second no matter how much they try to spin it, deny it, claim it is fake, it would stick with enough people that it would weaken him substantially. Then finally it would further the idea of him being a traitor and a foreign agent if it came from Russia.

That's my understanding. I bought something from China last month that's about to ship. I'm almost definitely going to get fucked on it. It'll double the cost of the item. I wouldn't have purchased it at all had I known.

Don't worry, his followers will still tell you you're a traitor because you don't support American manufacturing (a job no one wants to do because it's miserable) or that Biden/Harris would've done the same.

Anyone else tired of all the winning?

Can we rewind to the basis of the thread. I'm so frazzled from the past 8 years/months.

What exactly was the argument and point of the tariffs, and what is up with the back and forth on the plan?

In all the idiocy and anger, I really just never heard the logline.
One of his claims it is to return manufacturing to the U.S. Many industries can not.
I was just listening to the radio news the other day & they interviewed a jewelry retailer who said there is no expertise in the U.S. to make the jewelry. Just like toy manufacturing will not come back to the U.S.

Essentially it is just an ego trip for him as it forces foreign countries to come to him to negotiate better terms.

The psychology world removed narcissistic personality disorder from their standard DSM manual back in 2014. The criteria were too subjective and cast too wide a net. I looked that up back in 2015 when he first started running for president as a Republican because I thought he might meet the criteria for it, but the disorder had just been removed.

But of course he's narcissistic. I'm sure even he realizes that.
