Star Wars Black Series

I went ahead and glued Chewy's, uh.... balls and shaft? (I don't know what else to really call it- is it the cross? Is it the bow?) to the rest of the gun, and it makes a big difference. No more popping off. He's a solid figure- I think I prefer the more shaggy head look in later movies to the smoother look- it makes his head look a bit more bulbous on the figure- but it's nicely executed.

Got my Temple Guards today as well. Ya'll weren't lying- they're great figures with lots of great detail. I gotta hand it to Hasbro- I do feel like there was a time, not that long ago, when a lot of the sculpted detail would've just been paint or decals, but they stepped up here. I don't know what's been in the water over at Hasbro lately, but I hope they keep drinkin' it, because man, their output has been just stellar lately!

Anyone still waiting on their Magnaguard pre-order, by the way? I'm debating just cancelling the order at this point, but part of me knows I'll probably never find it in store (no Walmarts close to me, anyway), and I know as soon as I do, the web orders will miraculously start shipping.
I"m convinced Walmart preorders are just a suggestion and sometimes they just forget about you. I did get my Magnaguard but I won't get my Joes or Marvel stuff this year from them I reckon. (Ironically I did want the guard but if I had to pick one to get canceled...) I think if I have the scratch going forward, if a Walmart exclusive is important to me, I may just place multiple orders and roll the dice hoping ONE ships.

Meanwhile, sneaking back over to Pulse to see if the temple guard is shipping soon or not. Would love to get him and Han some time soon.

Yeah, Wal-Mart has cancelled a lot of my pre orders this year. Be it DC, Star Wars, GI Joe, etc. I have received some Wal-Mart pre orders, but I'd say I've had more cancelled. Wal-Mart is the worst at the pre order game.

Okay I just went back in and checked and if all my Pulse orders ship on time September 1 is going to be embarassing.

If we are talking the Walmart exclusive blue one, I received mine at the beginning of the month. it is also showing in-stock for shipping for me right now, but that may be from local inventory.

So, this is just the rumor, but on Yakface there are 2 Gaming Greats slots for upcoming figures. One says Gaming Greats: The Force Unleashed, the other just say Gaming Greats.

The Force Unleashed one is supposed to be Lord Starkiller with his helmet and armor. The one that just says Gaming Greats is supposed to be Kyle Katarn.

I hope that is true. I want all of that.

Hopefully he can actually hold his lightsaber this time without it falling out of his hands when a soft breeze hits it. Ahsoka is the same way if I try to backhand her sabers, on the adult versions. But im glad to get him and Kyle.

Padawan Ahsoka is the one Jedi figure I have not using her lightsabers. She actually looks pretty darn good in her signature arms crossed pose, so that's how I have her. Arguably adds just as much character as the sabers do.

Kyle Katarn is another character that I don't really have any attachment to, but oddly enough, I still really like. Much like Dash and Xizor, I never ingested any of the material he's in, but I still have a fondness for. I guess I just saw all the cool footage and images of him back in the day and formed an attachment.

Armored Starkiller would certainly be welcome. That's a hella cool look. I'm still holding out hope for more Fallen Order/Survivor figures, and I may be in the minority of folks that would gladly take Outlaws figures- at least Kay (with Nix, of course) and ND-5. I'm still making my way through the game, so there could be other great characters I'd want in figure form, but at least the cover art characters. I'm glad they're still focusing on Gaming Greats at all, really, given how few Star Wars games there have been of late.

Kyle Katarn, especially Dark Forces 1 Kyle Katarn, is a dream Black Series figure for me. Top 10, easy.

I would absolutely go feral to finally have Kyle in this line. Though I remain vigilant in my demand for Corran Horn if we're raiding the expanded/legacy universe.

I finally got around to opening the new Anakin. I must say, disappointed. I don't mind the legs like some people, but these shoulders, and shoulder armor, are just rubbery messes. And he doesn't have an up down wrist hinge, still. The cloth goods look fine, albeit a little cheap. But the armor overlay is gummy and warped and feels like its gonna tear. And his neck looks too long. And to me, the likeness isn't there. This just feels like a step down from the old Target figure of the same suit. I know that was near impossible to get, but its still better then this one imo.

Are the Anakin and Obi-Wan shown in Canada new? I don't think I'd heard about the Shoretrooper helmet before.

Here's a good one:
