Tracking toy tariffs

You know, and that's my thing about these companies and entities: this fear of Trump saying "mean things".

Who cares if he does? More than half of this country knows that he's a fucking idiot. So say the shit. Stop fearing getting on his bad side. He's a dipshit and he's not going to be around much longer, if his health indicators are any clue.

Oh yeah, the only thing that makes Trump scary and effective in that way is because people play along. We could all just . . . fucking stop doing that.

Like the other day, somebody gave me the “I mean he *is* talented at coming up with those mean nicknames and making those stick and such” and I was like “‘talented’? Na, fuck that.”
He’s not “skilled” or “intimidating”, we just collectively *act* like he is. Like you don’t call a 4th grader who beats up kindergarteners a “talented fighter”: he’s just a bully leveraging significantly greater resources. And, like, Trump ISN’T the equivalent of a fourth grader to our kindergartners: we just treat him like he is. If “everyone” (by which I mean, everyone who isn’t literally in the MAGA death cult) just . . . fucking disregarded his bullshit and went on with our lives just brushing off his fucking nonsense, so much of this would be solved. But it really only works if EVERYONE does it, especially individuals/entities with “influence” and “power” and, in particular, CAPITAL.

But people are callow, weak, and easily led, so we are stuck pretending a sick old fool is a Big Bad.

Not that I'm defending corporations, because even the following is total bullshit scumbag behaviour, but it's actually not just mean things. It's also because the Trump administration can make running their businesses a nightmare. He can block all their awful fucking mergers (he should anyway, because we're supposed to have laws against corporations consolidating power like they constantly do). He can -enforce- policies that they've spent decades ignoring. Trump can actually do a LOT of harm to them if he wants to, which is why they constantly capitulate.

Again, though, fuck them for being greedy piece of shit cowards more concerned with where the comma is on their bonus checks than if the entire world fucking burns around them.

This is another consequence of Democratic cowardice.

Trump made an example of various businesses. Democrats tut-tutted them and slapped them on the wrist. Why wouldn't you serve the party/politician who will actually discipline you if you ignore their demands? Had Democrats held their feet to the fire, it might be a different story.

The same thing happened with Zuckerberg/big tech. Democrats dragged Zuckerberg up in front of Congress, but fell well short of punishing Facebook. From all accounts, this is what radicalized Zuckerberg. He was already a sociopath, but this turned him into a political activist. Bringing him up in front of Congress was the worst of all worlds. They pissed him off but didn't do enough to scare him away from future political action.

Yep. Because it embarrassed him. And hey, look at how many billionaire sociopaths are doing what they're doing now as traceable back not to any foundation of belief, but out of spite to punish those who embarrassed them, who took the piss out of them.

But if at any point we stopped JUST embarrassing them and instead actually REGULATED the fuckers, it'd be a different story. Make then fight for it at least.

Regulate them, then aggressively remove the systems that allow for billionaires to exist in the first place, *then* embarrass them.
Because anyone with enough soulless ambition to even *try* to be a billionaire should be mocked and shamed for the rest of their lives.
Yes, you too, Taylor Swift.

I'm all for it. Start saying it's to balance the budget. Say the savings will be used to fight crime (and just say "white collar" very softly). Really take the reigns of all of their talking points.
Democrats, if they weren't spineless, treasonous pieces of shit, could literally reshape this country with just the correct use of language and talking points. It's SO fucking easy.

And say it's primarily coming from those wealthy, Hollywood, elites and the won't-stand-for-the-flag millionaire athletes.
