Realms of the Blacktide Pirate Figures

Those are pretty cool looking! I've been on a bit of a pirate kick lately- brought back all my old NECA and Zizzle POTC figures from home after my last visit. Those particular ones probably wouldn't, but I wonder if any future releases could be fudgeable with the old NECA figures; Karibdus is basically Davy Jones already- if they ever make a crew for him, I wonder how they'd look with the Dutchman crew we already have. This is definitely a line I'll be keeping an eye on!
 
Welp, I need at least the skeleton & squid, though scale is going to be a concern (because their own stuff is advertised as "6" scale" but is 1/10, not 1/12).

And man, I love your guys' work, but can you PLEASE fucking learn how to preserve your sculpt with DOUBLE joints!? :rolleyes:

If the arms & legs are thick enough (though, lots of these other "skeleton companies" are doing double-jointed BONES lol), single elbows & knees shouldn't exist in 2025 any more than hingeless swivels (glares at Playmates' "updated" TMNT)...

I like to fluctuate between "now I"m tempted," dick jokes, and extensive bios for GI Joe characters.

(Although these don't look gritty enough for exactly what I'm looking for, I kinda want grimy pirates who look like they are on the edge of scurvy)
 
Well those look really cool! Not sure if I'm going to dive in, but definitely interested enough to check out the kickstarter when it starts.

Honestly, the distraction of chasing down like, "weirdo-lizard-man" or "dancing-street-battlin'-Spaniard"is pretty much the only part of most weeks I'm not disgusted with reality.

(With this line, if it hewed closer to Treasure Island vibes I would be the EASIEST mark for it, though.)
 
These look like good fun, but my lord, what are they going for with those ridiculous sheathes? Even if we ignore that it's generally accepted that pirates stow their swords on their hip, those things look more like a freakin guitar case in their back than a sheath.
