My ideal sitch would be finding some variation of that beautifully ugly head in a decent color pattern from the same seller as someone who has either Krieger or the Frazetta warrior, just cos I don't want to pay for shipping twice. I've found both, but not in the same place.

Do any of the packs ever go on sale after the preorder sells out? I missed the Dungeon packs because I was waiting for payday. Don't see them up on BBTS.

By the way, apparently the individual heads and tails they're selling on their website are colour-matched to the shadow slate (wish I knew that when I did my order, as I would have bought some), which is not obvious at all based on the pictures, and the product listings don't say it anywhere. So "Krakkis head and articulated scale" is apparently the Nin head for the shadow slate body, if you've got your heart set on that sexy skeksis-looking bastard but don't want to shill out for the original.
Thanks for this, I had no idea! It looks like I may be grabbing a few more slates & heads

BBTS put pre-orders up for the wave 1 & 2 accessory packs after Harvingers pre-order window closed - I haven't seen it yet for the stands/Dungeon pack, but hopefully they get some (though it would be at a higher price Im sure)

I'm sure the stands will be sold again as in-stock items once they arrive. I highly doubt they were made to order.

Was able to preorder the albino lizardman at BBTS last night. They must have ordered more.

So I hemmed and hawed too long and ended up not being able to find Krieger or Frazetta or Ko'mo at a US retailer, but Articulated Empire did have Nin left (pretty much all they had left!) so I nabbed him. Was trying to figure out if there was a second figure I liked enough to get free shipping but basically shot myself in the foot waiting too long, everything else was gone. But I got the ugly skeksis lookin' bastard so that's good enough for now.

I've missed out on stuff before, but I've never tried buying figures in a line and actually watched multiple figures that had been out for a bit sell out as I was shopping. Glad they're selling but it's been a bad week to be hesitant.

For a guy that spends way too much money on toys, I never expected you to be this indecisive about buying stuff. I'd be a lot less impressed with Krieger if I didn't have other figures and the accessory set, but I'm so glad I didn't miss out on the Frazetta Warrior. As a BIG time Frazetta fan, that one hits all the right buttons for me.

Honestly, the indecision was about finding the right combination so I didn't buy figures from three different stores! If any one place had either human I wanted and either lizard I wanted I would've bought stuff on Friday night. I twice had the two figures I wanted from one store in my cart and had one of them sell out as I was checking out. I swear it's because you did such a good job talking them up the past week.

I probably should've grabbed like, one of the last three Frazetta figures I saw at one of the stores, but I JUST got Conan from Frazetta Girls and it's legit my favorite figure of the year so I wasn't feeling the pressure.

Also... I DO spend too much money on toys. So my biggest hesitation is always the first bite at a new line. "Am I REALLY going to do this to myself?"

I've always been a bit more articulation over sculpt, so I opted NOT to get the Frazetta Girls figure. I already have three Mezco Conans, so when I was deciding from which line to get another (not)Conan figure, I decided to go with the one that looked like it would hit more poses and be more fun to mess with. I have no regrets, despite the Frazetta Girls figure looking fantastic.

"Am I REALLY going to do this to myself?"
Yes. You are. Just accept it and you'd have way MORE cool toys than you already do.

I want everyone to make sure to tell them that. Let's get Damien a free figure to review!

At this point Harvinger owes you a commission.

I'm generally articulation over sculpt too and that's why I'm so shocked at how much I like FG's Conan, because they're known for beautiful figures, not beautiful articulation. It has a type of shoulder articulation I've never seen before and I can't stop posing him. That being said, I had exactly ZERO versions of Conan before this, so this'll be my go to for a long time. Easy to sell myself on a character that pivotal to a collection when I have zero versions. (Meanwhile, have not found a Sonja I truly like yet.)

My spending is always: Love this line, will regret if I don't get XYZ or this line looks cool, I WILL spend too much if I like it, do I want to open that door. A huge help for this has been your exposes on shitty companies though, because sometimes I'll be on the fence and be like "but Damien says they're dickheads, maybe I'll skip this line." Might've saved me about eight figures if I'd heard your thoughts on Spero before I picked up a bunch of monkeys five months ago.

Yeah, the shoulders are like cups, so they turn inward and outward to kind of mirror a bicep cut, right? I saw Eamon showing that off when the figure was still at the factory. It's a pretty good design if you're trying to get that ROM without breaking up the sculpt. If I hadn't had a chance to grab the SC Frazetta Warrior, it's almost a certainty that I would have broken down and gotten the FG Conan. Honestly, if I hadn't just spent 600 dollars on a SnowCat, I probably STILL would have broken down and gotten FG Conan.

Ha! To be fair to Spero - I think they're dickheads in the sense that they don't know how to run a business and I had a very specific bad experience with them. I've even said that maybe one day I'll grab a figure or two from somewhere like BBTS, but that I absolutely will not buy directly from them again because of their practices. I don't necessarily think Jason is a bad -person-.

Vala, Andrew from Boss Fight --- those guys are legitimately bad people that I'd love to see sell no further product. But ya can't stop people from liking toys, I suppose. Hell, if I didn't hate Andrew, I'd be tempted to say that their Sonja is the best one ever made and, while finicky, looks like a good figure to have on the shelf. I'd just never buy it because that involves Andrew getting any of my money and I would never do that after what he did to my friends.

I'll take back my feeling like I got duped in that case - I actually like the figures I got from them (one of the few indie lines that feel like I could accidentally drop a figure down a flight of stairs and not have it break!) though I think I have pretty much all I need from that line. If their next wave of figures ever hit I do kinda want the fox dude but that's about it. And only because I will always buy a fox dude if I see one.

Exactly that. It's got a remarkably good range back and forward, and is smoother than a lot of bicep swivels out there. Makes me wish they had this design for Dark Wolf. And I Frazetta could do a Sonja because I haven't found one I truly love yet, so I'm curious how they'd handle it.
