Just a random thought after finally watching reviews of Cap vs Venom but,

those new arms on Venom are everything! We deserved new pinless legs, too, sturdier and not so rubbery, but, the new arms look incredible. Always felt like the arms on the Retro Venom were the worst part, not only because of the symbiote tendrils but an ugly elbow. But now we get not only pinless arms but they're beefier too! The new bigger shoulders are an improvement to the proportions. Love it, although the typical Hasbro ML team "baby steps to improving figures" is always annoying. It really feels like with this wave and maybe just figures in general, they're half-assing the lower body improvements. Hulk, Venom, War Machine all still using pins.

If they can do pinless legs for a chunky figure like Capcom Thanos, they can do pinless legs and toss out the gumminess/knock knees on the rest of the figures. They simply choose not to. I like the new Omega Red a lot but for the gummy legs/weak knees.

I'm going to try using AK Ultra Matte Varnish on his disassembled knees and reassembling after a generous curing time. Won't help with the overall leg rubbery feeling but might help with the weakest point.

Cool. I want you to get figures you want too. Hard to get your point across when you use the expression "this is" and not "I want". Especially since you seem to want them both ways. Since both are legit for different reasons.

The Secret Wars one was pinless, yeah?

On that case I'd take a reissue / update of the 20th with that in a some red and gold. But I gotta have the horns.

War Machine is nowhere near as big as in the promo shots. I knew this because I have both the originals, but still, this feels like blatant false advertising.

At first glance, I thought this Spirit Spider was a reuse of the pinless Sunfire body. He has a new torso with sculpted emblems on the front and back, but no more butterfly shoulders. That's kinda lame.

I was under the same impression and equally bummed to learn the truth.

Spirit Spider arrived from Walmart. While it's just a basic body, the upper and lower torso are new for the spider sculpt. I wasn't expecting that. The blue to white shading is pretty good too. I have zero knowledge of this character, but it will look good on my spider-verse shelf.

So... somehow got two Spirit Spider figures delivered to me. I only remember ordering one, but they have different order numbers, so clearly I messed up and double ordered... now to decide if I keep it for custom fodder or take it in for store credit.

Or he could use it to make a new Future Foundation Spidey…just saying. I know he’s been rumored on a leaked list but sometimes it takes up to two years for those leaks to actually be seen as credible much less anything approaching an actual verified announcement.

I mean just look at the most recent Gamerverse MvC sets. Two years ago we got the leaked announcement, then a year went by and heard nothing, then the leak list changed and people thought it this assortment would be based on the Marvel: Cosmic Invasion RPG, and then that was scuttled in favor of Marvel Rivals…until this past May when it was confirmed that we did in fact get an MvC Gamerverse inspired program.

It’s almost like there is a little bit of Gamesmanship in terms of how Hasbro handles leakers. It’s like they have seemed to embrace this arena of fan culture and they want people to invest in the hype just so they can troll the fans along the way. It’s like they’re gradually pulling the tarp away on the next new project but we’re sitting here blindfolded and we can’t see anything no matter what they tease.

Spirit Spider has a sculpted spider emblem on his chest and back. He has bare feet. And no butterfly shoulder joints. There are better options to use as fodder for a Future Foundation Spider-Man.
