G.I. Joe Classified Series

I can’t believe how much money I’ve thrown at NECA in the past decade.

And i bet theres a ton of NBA players that would jump at the chamce to be Joes. Shaq would push everyone out of the way trying to he the front of that line.
I'd buy a Shaq Classified figure every day of the week.
Maybe a 2-pack.

Divers set arrived and I was not prepared!

These guys have MAIN CHARACTER ENERGY.

I watched this episode the other night, and I laughed so hard when they went to the deepest part of the ocean to get the Heavy Water, and then just swam out of their subs in scuba gear.

If anything, I'd love to see popular -characters- become Joes. Imagine if Hasbro convinced the Big Movie Business Guys to let them Joe-ify John Wick or Rambo? Yes, played by real celebrities, but with that level of separation that they're engaging with the character, not the actor. Or actual Classified versions of the original Predator team?
Rambo, most especially, would be a welcome addition. I took a WWE Mr. T figure and put the head on a wave one Roadblock, and now I have BA Baracus as a member of my Joe team. I love stuff like that, so I'd totally be down for other fictional characters to be in the Classified line.

Yeah, I'm down with that. And it's funny they almost did a Rocky figure when Rambo was perfectly obvious! Dutch, Rambo, and I guess a Retaliation Joe Colton and you have the Planet Hollywood trio right there.

Well maybe I'll give some Neca Yautja a shot. I have... I think 3? Neca figures altogether. And I just feel like theyre gonna break so easy. I haven't even pulled them out of their bin in years. But maybe I'll buy one and give it a go. How do they scale with Classified? Cause that's who he'd be fighting.

I was looking through pictures of Vipers, as one does, and found this one of the CI figure on his stank where their lighting made him look black and red and now I am desperate for that repaint.

They're a little big, but I actually rewatched the movies recently and was like oh, the predators are REALLY big. If you put him in a little bit of a crouch or action stance they look great. At a standing pose, Gung-Ho comes up to the city predator's shoulder.

I know neca is a bigger scale but that doesn't sound too outlandish really. Kevin Peter Hall was 7'3", God bless him and keep him.

Still crazy Van Damme was originally cast for that.

Plus, we've seen different races of Yajuta that have different heights in the film, so it works.

I specifically like how NECA Predator and Alien figures scale with Classified (and Legends, actually). I'd say they're marginally too big but by comparison to say, McFarlane, I think Batman shouldn't be looking predator in the eye. A little too small works better for me than a little too close. (I actually think I like NECA Mirage Turtles with Classified or Legends too if I want to have them team up than other TMNT lines. Loyal Subjects is ALMOST there but a little small.)

Humans from NECA are another thing though. I'd love to put Shipwreck next to Matt Hooper and Captain Quint because Shipwreck yelling WE'RE GONNA NEED A BIGGER BOAT would be hilarious, but five foot five Richard Dreyfuss is the same height as Snake Eyes and his head is twice as big which makes him look like he's from another planet, it kinda crosses the uncanny valley for me.

I had a NECA Predator break on me, but it was a known issue because of a factory plastic error and they were actively soliciting people to request replacements at that time. This was like fifteen years ago. NECA's the main company in my collection, and I've had no further issues. They may not live up to the standards of the hardcore articulation folks, but no one does what they do better right now.

And since I did that little off-topic bit, might I stray just another second for lack of a better place to post this? I found out about this Geoff Johns comic called Rook: Exodus the other day, and the very first thing I thought of was Classified and its animal two packs:

It's a good book. Seems ripe for a toy line.
