Questions about posting images? Seek guidance in this thread. I'll go first...

So, I'm preparing to set up a thread in the marketplace for my superfluous ML figures and I have been trying to figure out how to post a grid (or more) of thumbnails as opposed to posting each individual image in multiple posts, or one collective shot that needs to be updated and re-uploaded whenever an item is taken (like in the BaF parts thread). Ideally, the thumbnail grid would allow me to remove images from my host site easily without having to edit-and-reupload my original post or image.
Currently, I'm using Flickr as my free image host and despite my best efforts, I am unable to find any tool on their site that would facilitate such a grid.
Does anyone have any suggestions? Should I use another image host? is there some trick on this site of which I'm unaware?
Any assistance is most appreciated!

The forum editor has some options. You can add tables. Insert image, links, resize images etc. Seems to be pretty intuitive.

I threw this together pretty fast.

That thumbnail layout looks great. I like posting pics in the various wishlisting threads and this is a much better approach than 8 large images one after the other. I'll have to play around with the editor to figure that method out!

@KvHulk okay I figured out the table/grid layout but all my images display gigantic and the table runs offscreen. How do we resize the images so they all present in a uniform configuration like your example?

Also, the above images are hyperlinks from the Hasbro Pulse site, correct? They all seem to be perfect squares. I'm assuming rectangular images will disturb the display uniformity?

I really wish there was a preview option in the editor.

I really only just messed around with it last night real fast when I saw your post. I kind of remembered seeing it in the editor, so I'm no expert but will help best I can.

Yes. The images are a direct link to the hasbro website. I simply right clicked and copied the image link and used it here. The image link had a bunch of parameters within the link, like image size. So, it kind of did it automatically.

Once you create a table and add photos you can then left click the photo and there are options to resize, add links, text, alignment, etc.

Also, There is a Preview button in the editor, top right corner. You have to click it a second time to get out of preview mode.

I just woke. I feel I might've rambled. Hopefully I answered your questions. If you have more just tag me! Good luck.

Darn it! I've been trying to post pics on my Mega Man checklist from EE and BBTS with the above method but it keeps showing broken image links. The pics are there when I try to edit. Guess those sites may not allow image sharing 🤷‍♂️

So you make a table and just insert your Imgur links in each cel? How do you get to a place to resize images?

I also don't understand why when I link an Imgur image sometimes it puts it in the Imgur frame and other times it doesn't.

Sorry, I missed this.

Yes, you should be able to create a table, copy and paste the Imgur image link (make sure it has .jpg or .png or another image format in the URL), click "insert image" to add it to the table cell, and paste your URL in the prompt.

I believe the Imgur frame only appears when you link to an Imgur image without first clicking "insert image." It defaults to media in that case, which leaves the frame in place.

I'm working with Lucid on the table now, but the image should resize by default. The forum is set up so no image runs off the page.

Is there a best practice on here for posting from Instagram? Sometimes if I post the direct link the preview image is there, and sometimes it shows up as "view this image on Instagram." (Posting from Tapatalk degrades the photo quality for me so just trying to find an alternative). I swear I posted some photos in the Joes Action Photo forum a few days ago and I could see them embedded but I can't today and I'm just assuming it's a user error on my part and I'm posting using the wrong option.

If you click the menu at the center of the options atop the comment window, the 3rd one is insert media and it specifically lists Instagram as one of the authorized sources.
I have never really used it and I'm not sure if this helps, but it displays like this...

I actually think this might be a setting on my account - in your post it's directing me to Instagram to view the image. Wonder if I've got something I need to toggle on or off to see the image in the post itself. I've tried posting with "insert media" and by posting link directly to the post and both options do a good job automatically formatting it but neither is previewing the image for me (today) but has been before.
