Which isn't me trying to knock your parents. I could absolutely see my mom and stepfather thinking that site was real if they were computer literate enough to have ever discovered it.

I understand what you mean.

No, he doesn't take it seriously, he just thinks all the satire is funny, when...I mean, look at it. But Daily Show, Onion, et al, Not Funny, Shouldn't Be Joking About, Shouldn't Be Talking That Way about the President.

I saw a CBS headline that said, "The bottom 60% of US households don't make enough income to afford a 'minimal quality of life' according to new analysis".

And the journalist in me says, "That's a 1984 way of saying 'the majority'".

Between what you're positing and the landlord/rent "crisis", all I can do is a Steve Martin, "Do you think so?" at the people who asked to hold the rattlesnakes, then are surprised when they're all biting their face.
