General Marvel Legends

They always give Crossbones shitty reused guns. It’s a tradition. They gave classic Crossbones 2 sets even though he used a crossbow.

Since Jack of Hearts apparently would take almost an entire budget, how's this for a BAF wave, comprised of a lot of existing parts, new heads and a bunch of never-been-done-before characters?
This list has a little something for almost everyone...

1) Jack of Hearts

2) Obligatory A-Lister, like Iron Man with a different color scheme or in this case, a melted helmet

3) Cypher - using the new Sunspot body with a more comic color scheme

4) Diamondback

7) Spitfire

BAF Orka - basically the Controller with a new head and feet

I might have an aneurysm of excitement if a wave like that were announced. I would be so happy I might pre-order two full sets.

Its crazy because that wave contains only one character from my personal top 10 and it would still be too good to be true.

I'm on a roll.
Let's do another high budget to one character, low budget for everyone else.

1) High Budget - Swarm

2) A-Lister with different paint scheme, like this Wolverine

3) White Tiger

4) Dr. Minerva

5) Colleen Wing

6) Whizzer

7) Blackout

BAF - Grizzly, probably the easiest BAF they could do - just a new head on Ursa Major. Similarly, Mr. Hyde would be easy, too, but we already have him. We don't have Grizzly.

Why does Jack have to be a budget crusher? Look at how Black Series is handling the new Asajj Ventress figure's intricate tunic details. He's three primary colors with the pattern indented and a black wash over it all to fill the details - or gold wash - I can't really tell which is the wash because it's done well!

I know everyone would hate it, but MCU Sandman with a purple cape looks pretty close to Swarm.

Saw photos on a Facebook group of US Walmart resets as of this morning.

They had Thunderbolts and the skull Spider-Man from the game. The Thunderbolts were what surprised me.

Also Crystal Ball, but I'll take that to the Joe people.

Agreed. They could reuse scale male legs and torsos from previous figures, with swashbuckler boots. That leaves an overlay type tunic, new head(s) and the bracers for tooling. I guess they're concerned about paint apps?

The solution is simple. An Avengers 2-pack.
Traditional 70s/80/90s Jack of Hearts, head with the cowl and one without the cowl as he appeared in recent She-Hulk issues.
Miller grey suit Black Widow without the bomber jacket on the new articulated body.
Widow will save a bunch of money and it would be great to have her without he jacket. She's smaller than She-Hulk, which will save money.
Jack and Widow don't necessarily go together, except that they are both Avengers. That's good enough for me.
Jack could also be paired with Wasp, but the addition of her wings may cause the budget to go up in manufacturing.
My perfect pairing, considering budgets would be Jack and Firebird, who also have no connection outside of being Avengers, but that would be two never-been-made-before classic Avengers. My dream come true.

Love this idea. Also I feel like the ONE comic Widow I really want/need is the grey costume without the bomber jacket. I think my brain imprinted on the version of her from X-Men 268 and it bugs me the only version we we have of that costume is that ANCIENT two-pack one iwth the old school horrible hip articulation.

I like the way both of you are thinking! I wouldn't mind having to buy extras of Spidey, Human Torch, or Thing if it meant I got Jack, Gargoyle, Devil Slayer, etc!

By the way, Beamish, that MTU #134 was the comic that introduced me to Jack Of Hearts! I remember getting that in one of the old three packs they would sell at department stores when I was a kid. MTU was a frequent pack-in for those, and I absolutely loved being introduced to new characters in that title. So many deep cuts that I came to really love as characters.
