The best Wolverine ever made in twelfth scale now back up for sale at BBTS:

Although I guess we now know many people disagree since he's about the same height as this new Capcom Wolverine figure.
As was said already - lots of people agree that he's awesome -and- that he's too tall. For some reason there may be people out there that can't reconcile those opinions and have to defend the height just to defend it being a great figure.

Also, I disagree about it being the best Wolverine because I just don't particularly like that figure. I definitely prefer my Wolverine stockier than how the Mafex turned out. But damn if the Mafex AoA Weapon X doesn't look amazing....

I know some people here love that figure, but I think the mask sculpt is bad and no matter how well it moves it isn't worth 4+ Marvel Legends to me.
That's pretty much how I feel. I personally also don't love the claws AND I prefer the Jim Lee costume over brown. And as I said above, he doesn't seem stocky enough for me. So this figure doesn't hit enough buttons for me to get really excited about it. I get WHY people like it, though, of course.

I would prefer the Mafex brown Wolverine a little more if it had some red highlights on the brown parts of the costume. The deep brown feels a little off model for a Wolverine costume that is supposed to harken back to the Jim Lee era of X-men

I thought they were going for John Byrne who originally created the costume, although back when he first created it the cowl fins were closer to the head like the tiger stripe fins were in the 1970s/1980s as we also see on the Apocalypse wave Wolverine. Later Byrne drew the cowl fins more splayed out as shown below.

The lines in the face PantherCult may or may not be referring to as bad (he wasn't specific) were usually put there in Byrne's art. The grinning head in particular looks just like Byrne often drew him.

Anyone else getting the "YOU HAVE BEEN BLOCKED" notice from BBTS lately? It started like a week ago and the site hasn't let me on since. It's really annoying.

For best Wolverines, I still have ML3 Wolverine with the static, twisted torso on my shelf because I still love how dynamic it looks.

Also, I'm glad someone else is annoyed at Betsy's way too dark hair - and then completely unpainted on the underside. If they'd spread out the same amount of black to both sides it would probably be just right. But this is not.

I had to deal with "Account Restricted" which took about two weeks to clear up and I didn't have access to my account including my preorders and active POL at the time. They said I had an unauthorized payment but I was just using my saved PayPal information that I had used a half-dozen times on their website before so who knows what the deal was. I'm guessing your issue is different but just wanted to share my experience.

Well Wolverine has the X on his belt buckle. Lee introduced that in X-Men # 1 in 1991. And it only lasted 3 issues before Lee put Wolverine back in the classic yellow suit. Prior to that change he just had a classic belt for the better part of a decade in this costume

In regards to the BBTS mixup I’m still able to get into my account. But I’m a very active shopper and I log in practically 3x a week to either make preorders or check delivery statuses

They need to give wolverine bigger shoulders on that buck if he doesn't have the shoulder pauldrons. They are smaller than his upper arms at most angles and it looks ridiculous. I will stick with my retr/juggernaught wolverine yntil they do better with the brown and tan costume. I also already have that storm, that set is so weird. They just released the secret wars Wolverine....

Storm is different. She has new arms, different skin tone, and new heads iirc. Also, gold bracelets.

The thing they needed to fix about Storm was that literally every part of her body was out of proportion with the next. The capes and heads were incredibly well done, but the whole body just looks so awkward next to a lot of the other female body sculpts around.

Her torso and chest are also all new - there's piping around her hips and the lightning bolt is sculpted.

She's at least or close to 50% new. I'm hoping it's a pre-tool for an X-Treme or one of her more modern looks. We really need a modern Storm.

Are we talking about outback storm or the one in the 2-pack? Because Darkmoon766 was complaining about the brown Wolverine too. Though I think he got the Mafex brown Wolverine mixed up with the upcoming marvel legends version

That’s my issue with a lot of Mafex - they’re just too slender. Even Jim Lee’s tank-like take on Batman is pretty slim. It’s not a terrible take on Wolverine, but for 100 bucks (or thereabout) it better be damn near perfect. And that’s why I don’t own much Mafex.

Genuinely, the only Mafex I have ever been really tempted by was Gambit, and if I'd ever seen him at a store or something I probably would have bitten. But chasing down a 200 dollar figure (CAD, after shipping and such) when I already have a version in my collection that I like and goes with the type of stuff I already own? Didn't seem worthwhile.
