SDCC Exclusive Savage Land 3 pack (Rogue, Sauron, Shanna)

This whole thing is so ridiculous. Are the Marvel Legends and Star Wars offerings wildly more popular than the GI Joe Cold Slither set? How has that been taking pre-orders for a couple days now and the other two sets are up for such a flash (at some ridiculous time of the day) and then gone?

Did they make a lot more Cold Slither sets? That just seems unlikely. I don't understand any of this.
My sense is that it’s the opposite. Cold Slither sold out immediately in its first early window. The day all three sets were made available, it also sold out first. I think it’s the most popular set with the fewest reissues of figures/characters in outfits we already have. I think due to its popularity, they’re making more available through the preorder window. I think the other two sets may still be trying to gauge interest. I think more will show up for ML and BS.

And now it's not.

I didn't get any of the sets and I'm pretty pissed. I assume these times when it comes back in stock is someone's order getting cancelled and that's too unpredictable to keep refreshing all day for.
go now! still up for me

if it's not for you, clear your cache or use a different machine/phone

I’m guessing that where Hasbro screwed up was by not by waiting until all inventory en route to the warehouse (from SDCC or elsewhere) had been physically received and updated in the system before going live.

That’s why I’ m not holding my breath on the set I was able to order yesterday morning. Was my set physically received into inventory and updated in the system before I ordered it, or are they relying on counts of what’s still en route (which are subject to human error)? Since it was a preorder with an August 20th shipping date, I’m assuming the latter.

I'm only connected to Dan Yun on social media, but are the other brand marketers for Star Wars and GI Joe (Emily?) addressing this? Dan's the only one I've seen publicly addressing the issue.

It sure seems like they’re just releasing a limited number each day to give everyone a better chance at getting one.

For the record, I’m not haunting the website 24/7. I signed up for notifications from Preternia on Instagram. They post whenever stuff goes in stock or becomes available for preorder. Been very reliable.

I just saw a Reddit post from 20 minutes ago about the set being back up but it's already sold out again. Sigh.

More likely is someone cancelling their orders so one becomes available and pretty quickly gets taken. A lot of web sites act like that; most notably Target.

That's also my guess for these early morning sightings some of you are seeing. Orders get cancelled overnight, not as many people are around to insta-buy them, but as people wake up they get bought out.
