Found a regular Metron at Target yesterday.

My Kite-Man preorders arrived: no Platinum. Darn.
 
Hadn’t realized that my Platinum membership had lapsed. Went ahead and renewed it. My reasoning is that for whatever (undefined) amount of time Todd has left on the DC license, he will endeavor to crank out as much as product as he reasonably can. The discounts help. The coupon codes help. And the alleged EQL advantage helps. And even though I didn’t get the discounts for the last few things I bought, I will still get the points towards the coupon codes. $20.00 is free shipping. So what the heck. Drops the price of Elite Zatanna from $60.00 to $40.00. Good enough.
 
COMPLETELY forgot that Superman 2025 was shipping from Amazon and got a mystery packgae today. I gotta say, it took a long time but the head sculpts in this line have come so far from the days of Suicide Squad and "Idris Elba if sculpted by someone who never saw him." The in-package face is a really solid likeness. My only complaints are that a tiny drop of glue ended up on his shoulder and discolored the top of his cape in a tiny spot (nothing I can't live with, just an imperfection that bugs me) and I cannot, for the life of me, tell two of the three alternate faces apart and I'm wondering if maybe I got two of the same by accident. Proportion-wise I actually like this Superman better than some of the comics ones, though I prefer to keep comic versions as my main display.

And of course anyone releasing articulation-free pets in the day of Gi Joe Classified's pets just looks bad, but Krypto is adorable for a statue. He'll definitely be joining the other Krypto in perma-display in my office.
 
Just looked at the Entertainment Earth website. First time in quite a while that Todd doesn’t have any announced preorders up on their site. In fact the only thing I know of coming up is the Pennywise Movie Maniacs figure/staction on 8/6/25. MTS exclusive. Looks like two versions.
 
Missed the Kiteman PO. Travelling to LA this week and was wondering if Frank and Sons may be a good resource for picking one up? Anybody have experience of that collectible warehouse? Ebay is an option but just feels $80 wrong...
 
I think I may stop by, maybe hit a couple of Targets on the way. I am too long in the tooth to be enthusiastic about hunting these down. There was a time I couldn’t pass a Target or Walmart without stopping to check out the toys.
 
I might be the problem these days because I have no problem paying aftermarket or higher prices at a con or local dealer as long as I just find it and I'm done.

I don't have the energy to just Chase things around anyway. I know what I want and what I would be willing to pay.
 
Speaking of chasing things down, and sorry to keep beating this horse, but are there really no announced plans for the con exclusive Beast Boy to be released wide? Either or both colorways? Or is he like Jade and other random DCM figs where this is the first window and two months from now he's available elsewhere?

This limited of a release for this character makes absolutely no sense.
 
Yea, I really want that Beast Boy too. Can’t believe that version went exclusive to like one random booth at SDCC so far. Still a little peeved the Teen Titans cartoon Cyborg got made in series one of this line and we never saw another.

McFarlane going bananas with the chase-variant-gold label-platinum-collector-red platinum-black light-GITD-highlight-B&W-frostbite-comic cover- jokerized-page punchers-patina (and all the combinations of those) nonsense is so hard to keep track of I can’t imagine being anything but a super casual buyer.

I’d like a purple Beast Boy too. But it’s a casual want, not a burning need gotta have kind of figure. I tend towards a few niches and Titans is one of them. It’d be nice to have, but I’m not overpaying for this one. BB wasn’t in the EQL like the rest of the SDCC exclusives. And ebay is pretty ridiculous right now.
 
Sounds like some promising news for the Batman Returns wave. Coat and hat for the Penguin, burned up alt head for Max, available at all retailers, and best of all, apparently NO platinum chase BS (for these four at least). I'm cautiously optimistic.

I'm still not getting the best resolution for the pics. I hope Keaton comes out better for Returns than he did for 89.

(My wife is giving me a hard "no" on the duck. There are times when I acquiesce to that.........but sometimes I need to veto.)

Got Batwing, Classic WW, Superboy, the black costume NML Batman

Overall decent set of figures, but sad Batman doesn't have wires in the cape. Does this mean they are not doing that anymore? This is the.... third i have thats missing it?

But then Superman from the Godzilla set has it and so does Spoiler, so maybe its just SOME don't have it?
 
I wonder if you got a defective cape. The reviews I’ve seen had the wires.
