Magic the Gathering Legends

Brings me back to the old days when you could spot just piles and piles of battle-damaged Spider-Man Classics and Tobey Maguire Spideys at KBToys. I think they stuck around until they ordered all the ML1 Toads or something.
I think that battle damaged Tobey sells for kind of a lot now.

I ordered Stargod/Man-Wolf against my principles, but ... we'll see. If he's still available by the time he ships, I may cancel and wait on clearance. Really don't want to encourage this pricing, or to talk myself into accepting it because I hardly buy Legends at all anymore but can make a "one-time" exception for character X...

Oh yeah, lesson learned, for sure.

I put in pre-orders on Amazon so I can easily return these figures based on how much the cards end up going for. Or, in case Magic fans buy the figures for the cards only, how much they toss the figures themselves on Ebay for and I'll return everything.

Definitely not paying a final price of $40 for any of these.

As much as I want the Man Wolf figure, I'm never going to get this for $40. I'm tired of getting crap I don't want and will never use with a major up charge. It hasn't sold out on Amazon yet. That tells me volumes about what the collecting community thinks about this line's value. I've chosen to wait for a sale. If I miss out, it won't be the first time I've lived without a figure I want.

Yea, 23 years’ll do that. Even JJJ on a decent card’s probably worth $30-$50 now too. It’s crazy that the Spideys were overpacked so hard for those two movies, available in huge numbers everywhere, and ended up that expensive.

Wish I was as strong willed as you. I'm remembering when people (including myself) were upset that the Legends MSRP went up to $10.00. What a wild ride it's been.

Have these gone up for pre-order in the UK anywhere? Or do I have to order battle damaged Spider-man from overseas?

LOL, secure your order first, THEN tell your friends on the internets about it.

I'm not too keen on ML now having two sub lines with price hikes for very questionable reasons.
Maximum - $25 more, some extra little parts, may or may not be a new sculpt
Magic - $15 more, a trading card

eh........
Testing the waters for general price hikes to be sure

If MJ had a properly articulated torso I would pay the asking price gladly but for having the same old limited articulation on THIS costume??

She can wait till she goes on sale or I find it with a discount.

Peter is one I’ll try and make at home from spare parts before paying this, I kinda planned to do a kitbash of Cyborg Spiderman and Shang Chi parts for this anyway, and the Kraven 2-pack came with a beat up head.

Man Wolf I do want but can wait for sale price, especially as the reuse of the crappy sword and bow offends me.

Maybe I shouldn't have opened the new Extremis set on the same night as this MtG Mary Jane Iron Spider, because she was really stealing some of Stark's thunder. I've always been impressed by the waldoes, so handling them again was both as fun and frustrating as I remember. But they look so great. The gloss body is also gorgeous, just as it was on the Peter version. This may also be the best Mary Jane head sculpt we've gotten so far. Amazing that I can count at least three. I can't decide if I want to display her masked or unmasked. Either way, I am really digging this figure.

MJ really is a gorgeous figure. Amazing head sculpt and design. I always worry about the durabilty of the glossy plastic but at least rihgt out of the box I'm seeing no flaws. I do wish she came a set of open hand wall-crawling/stabilizing herself but it's a small thing.
