I would not be surprised if they continue to fill out the ranks with DIRE Tech figures. Especially with Lenny's admitted love for doing cool/rad/crazy stuff where he can.
 
Welp, I'm now on my "check Walmart preorder for Crystal Ball twice a day" nonsense til he ships. They just delayed, canceled, and delivered a Star Wars preorder in the same day for me yesterday. Rollercoaster of emotion for a figure I would've been okay with them canceling on me (the MagnaGuard). Gonna be MIFFED if they Walmart my Crystal Ball.
 
I still have Crystal Ball pre ordered with an August 15th release date. So......i expect cancellation around the 17th. It sucks they went and made the Ghost Viper exclusive. it doesn't just suck, it was dumb as Hell. A figure people would love to army build, and they are going to make it impossible to even get one.

In happier news, I walked into Ollies today and they had the 60th Ann. Halo Jumper for $12.99

I picked that up immediately.

Back to Crystal Ball, has anyone reported finding the figure in store? I know having a Wal-Mart exclusive in a brick-and mortar Wal-Mart is not a concept Wal-Mart is familiar with. But miracles do happen.
 
I never once saw Range Viper available at retail (including e-tailers). It makes me sad. I expect Ghost Viper will be the same.
 
I was going to say that there was a chance Crystal Ball could show up on store shelves here in Canada because he is still available on Walmart.ca. However I decided to take a quick look and he is now completely gone from the site, as in his listing is no longer showing up in any search. So while he was still available earlier today it could be he is sold out now at Walmart Canada. Or he could magically show up again tomorrow.

It can be a real circus for Walmart Canada. The new Transformer Retro carded Seaspray and Brawn are being found on the shelves in multiple provinces across Canada now. And I have found many a ML Walmart Collector Con figure on the shelves over the last couple years (all the way back to Compound Hulk).

I know though that I'll never find MOTU, or most likely WWE (which I don't collect anyway) on the the shelves because Mattel has seemingly abandoned MOTU in Canada and the Walmart exclusives are also hit or miss on if Walmart Canada will actually carry them.
 
Walmart Canada is utter trash, just in general. Higher prices than equivalent items in the US. Worse selection. Often less convenient locations. Literally don't even try to do the things that made them what they are in the US. They're just a shittier version of Zellers.

My order is saying the 14th. Here’s hoping. Easily my most anticipated figure this year, so I’ll be pissed if he gets cancelled.
 
Effin' Walmart. Between them canceling but shipping two Star Wars figures and whatever this hostage situation with Crystal Ball is, I forgot to cancel my MOTU Masterverse She-Ra from them (since BBTS got theirs in like, four months ago) and I just got shipping notification for a She-Ra I don't need. Maybe I'll track down an extra He-Man and send the pair to my niece and nephew who still, miraculously, love playing with toys together. (They're Irish twins and attached at the hip and it's the cutest fricken thing ever. I do need to get their dad a Snake Eyes one of these days, keep meaning to watch his mind explode at how good this line is.)
