I remember the book of vishanti pack being ridiculously hard to find and those were in the pre Hasbro Pulse days. You had to go through middleman services for packs like this one and A-Force and the Raft and the only way to know if they were successful or not is if your PayPal notice was switched from “Paid” to “shipped “ or “refunded”. Since some of us were willing to work with scalpers to secure this set, I’ve been dealing with some hellacious and anxiety inducing flashbacks since this afternoon from those dark days.

Still mad about the two figures I don't have because I missed out on the SDCC sets - Blastaar and Hela. All the other figures from those sets have been re-released in other ways, bu those two figures are glaring holes in ny Legends collection.
 
Yea, the aftermarket for SDCC was basically just a given when you didn’t attend since they didn’t tell you when the things would go up. They’d take awhile to figure out what hadn’t sold out then put them up. Usually somebody’d help me out anyways, but I remember being kinda chuffed at paying double for 2019 Retro Hulk.

I can't believe they've never re-made either of them, particularly Hela with how much people loved her in the films and how that bumped up her presence in the comics for a while after.
 
I’m certainly old enough to remember the Hasbro Toy Shop days when they wouldn’t even announce when the exclusives were going up. We all just hovered around Fwoosh for days on end until a week or two later, they’d go up on some random day and you just had to be in the right place at the right time. I’ll take this set up over that one.

We sure did! I still have about 30 different numbers in my phone labeled “FW_username” from those notification lists.
 
I was there. I doubt i was on anyone's list here though lol.

I just checked the listings and the "Premium Only" tag has been removed - but the items remain sold out.

I don't see any posts about it so I'm guessing they did not also go back into stock?
 
This takes me right back to SDCC 2012. I was working 11 p.m. to 7 a.m. shifts at the time. I would get home from work and set up at my computer indefinitely. They could go up any time during the East Coast workweek. It was a nightmare.

I was stationed at my computer and still missed the Uncanny X-Force pack. I wound up paying $120 on eBay. That was a lot back then. The set retailed for $50.

You'd be surprised how infrequently companies apologize and take ownership for a bad situation even though it's PR 101.
 
It's just as well I missed this today. All I wanted was Shanna, and it felt odd paying $90 just for her. I have Sauron and I didn't care at all about that Rogue. So, money saved, I guess. Sounds like even though I am a Premium Member I might not have got it anyways.
