X-Men '97

It's an X-Men 97 thread. But I guess chime in if you never used the word in your life. Big on virtue here.

I’d add that in this current time of “aww yeah, screw ‘woke’, we can say what we want now” bullshit, anyone who “returns” to using old slurs because “it’s OK again now” is gonna REALLY get on my bad side.

Well, I will strive to be better.

Don't sweat it too much. It's not like you're a bad person. I am also a child of the '80s and '90s and I had to unlearn a LOT of words I definitely should not have been using for as long as I did. The important thing isn't being the perfect picture of virtue, it's just being able to recognize when you have a chance for growth. That's it. Don't let it stress you out.

Try it sometime, you might like it.

It’s far more productive than backseat moderating, at any rate . . .
. . . which isn’t your job.
I don't need to constantly point out that I really hate things that are commonly understood to be bad. Great if it makes you feel like a better person. Some people need that.

I'm not moderating shit. If 2 people are fighting over nonsense and going nowhere, I'm just going to say it's stupid. If someone tries to debate the used of the word R***** in a an action figure forum, I'd suggest it's not great. But you guys want to. Cool. And get into name calling if it's inferred they are being a Straw Man. Just figuring out the compass here. It's interesting.

Dave over at DMB just rattled off a bunch of characters for a fourth wave of X-Men 97 and the figures sound nice but I’m a little surprised we are 3 waves in (plus one more in potentia) and still we haven’t seen any of the characters that Morph transformed into during the course of the first season. I felt like those characters in the show could have been a means for an action figure factory and allow Hasbro to churn through figure rosters with every assortment. Almost like they had a “everything is valid, there are no bad ideas” kind of mindset.

Yeah, you should knock that off.

And the faux tough-guy swagger is doing you no favors.

Nobody wants or needs your “direction”.

It won't stress me out, I've made insurmountably worse mistakes then that. But I strive to be better then I was, even if I fail at it.

Absolutely, man. That's all any of us can do.

Dude... that's enough. You have to have your negative opinions but pretend you're always taking the high ground and it's as exhausting as it is transparent. And it always has been. If you aren't interested in what other people are saying, just don't respond. The thing you keep telling other people they should be doing.
