How would you "fix" an existing figure?

My first pick - Hellcat. She's been showing up a lot in the past few years, especially as a love interest for Tony Stark. I really wouldn't be surprised if she got another shot in Legends.

-Match these images as closely as possible.

-Put her on the new articulated body.
-Give her clawed boots. Although she normally wears conventional boots, the claw boots would look awesome.
-Ditch the batons.
-Give her helmet more cat-like ears as opposed to the more Batman-style look. Over the years the art style goes back and forth on this. But for me, the cat ears are more unique.
-Make the helmet eyes yellow.
-Include the cat-like pupils in the helmet eyes.
-Really pronounce the yellow arched eyebrows on the helmet.
-Really pronounce the helmet whiskers.
-Include an alternate Cat head.
-Somehow create and include a removable cat claw chest emblem.

Yeah this is a good thread. Timely given my newfound enthusiasm for wanting a replacement for my Winter Soldier and Annihilus on my shelves. Stat.

It's also crazy how much of Hellcat is what you'd consider a more modern female body... and yet is comparably so terrible beside other female figure released around the time. Insanely lazy release.

I'm fairly certain Winter Soldier is just a better head. Sure, it would be nice to have a pinless body. The biggest problem with that figure is the goofy head details.

Annihilus is a page 1 rewrite. You fix it by creating a brand new sculpt with modern articulation. Take everything they've learned about wings in the past 15 years. make it a Deluxe release... it would benefit from that, too.

Winter soldier needs new legs and an alternate head. I’ve never been big on MCU parts going towards comic figures since the proportions just make them stand out like crazy on the shelf to me.

Did that... happen for Winter Soldier?

Thundra: could use a do-over on the She-Hulk/Power Princess body. She should be a big imposing figure, not like the version we got.

Toad: I get that they were going for an early 90s Liefeld version of Toad, and that's fine, but a new version on a portlier body (Doc Ock parts maybe?) would give us that classic Kirby Toad.

Avalanche: The version we got is recognizable as Avalanche but only barely. Above all else he needs the correct helmet, since his helmet is very unique to him. The one Hasbro used was more generic. An alternate chest piece with the "A" on it would be cool too.

Classic Sabretooth: We need a version without the fingerless gloves and boots and with no pupils, similar to the version ToyBiz made. The articulation on that figure is obviously outdated but otherwise that is a perfect version of classic Sabes.

Shadowcat: Bigger, curlier hair

Mockingbird: Really surprised they didn't use Lady Deathstrike's flared sleeves for Bobbi

Cloak: A non-bearded head, maybe a slimmer build?

Mr. Hyde: Comic accurate headsculpt (no bowler hat please) and an Inverness cape

Shang-Chi - Include his full gi

Absorbing Man/Wrecking Crew: Updated, smaller bodies. They shouldn't look like they're 8 feet tall

Ch'od: The correct number of fingers, obviously.

X-Factor Jean: I don't even need to say it at this point.

Valkyrie. Fix her by putting her on the Power Princess body, and giving her the classic Handbook look.

Agree with all of these.

I'll think on this, but the first one that comes to my mind is Wonder Man.
Fixes- New headsculpt, removable glasses, red belt with thrusters (with input for effects), no red bands on upper arms. Put him on a new buck. Include one smiling portrait, one serious portrait, set of fists, one gripping hand and a set of flying hands.

I know of a few figures that I feel need complete overhauls...

Ronan wave MOLE MAN- That happy meal toy is pitiful. I think they thought Mole Man meant he had actual moles all over him? He needs an all new fully-articulated revamp --especially now that he is in F4 First Steps. Come on! I've been campaigning for him for yeeeeears now.

Wendigo wave ABSORBING MAN- Dwight's pitch was all like, "What if Creel's little brother touched The Rhino while standing on a brick wall, and had absolutely no emotional response?"
We deserve a classic Creel with sexy purple pants and a snarling, ugly visage. And he should obviously come with a better wrecking ball and a few swappable arms and legs.

Blob wave YELLOWJACKET- Someone give that man a sandwich! He's making me cry. We are so past that horrible, horrible body. I'm flabbergasted he hasn't been remade yet.

Terrax wave CONSTRICTOR- He needs to be big and bad with textured costume details and bendable tendrils. Full stop.
Since I was a wee silverback I have always loved me some Constrictor. Unfortunately Hasbro's release was very disappointing to me. So much so, I never allowed myself to purchase him back in the day; I would just sneer at him when I'd see him hanging on the pegs. Sometimes I'd give him the finger.

The mf WRECKING CREW- While not objectively horrible, at some point they do deserve to be redone in a more comic-accurate scale.

And from waaay back in the Toybiz era, I personally won't be satisfied until we get proper classic versions of both KRAVEN and FALCON (both of which I still display).
