Super 7 Ultimates Thread

I broke down and bought the SilverHawks Ultimates Wave 1 from BBTS who has them on sale today for $62.50 for the set of 4. I really had no prior intentions of buying these but couldn't resist at that price.
Thanks for the heads up. I was "this" close to ordering wave 1 when it was $100. However shipping to me in Canada is $56US. So it was still a bit too expensive with the exchange, and any possible duties. However at $62.50, even with $56 shipping (Christ shipping is almost as much as the figures at that price), it is worth the risk.

If I get lucky and don't get dinged for duties, or only a small amount, it should work out to less than $50Cdn per figure which is a good price up here considering most Ultimates start at $75Cdn for the standard size figures, and the bigger ones like Monstar start at $90Cdn.

So, did Super7 reveal ANY new Ultimate figures besides the renders for the new 2003 TMNT figures and motorcycle? No Tiger Sharks? No Vac Metal Copper Kid? Anything?

With 75% of their staff on Unemployment, I'm surprised they showed up at all. I don't even think I saw a single photo of Brian. Was he there?

Edit: Answered my own question on YT. Super7 didn't have their own booth this year and were just present in other peoples' booths for their collaboration projects. Watched a thing Brian did with PD. Watching Brian lie his ass off that customers have been begging him to release the Astral Lion-O is hilarious. No one was asking about that figure.
Don't watch it. It's a nothingburger. The entire video existed only to hawk S7's SDCC exclusives. No questions. No talk about Super7 or their product lines. Nada.
Will have to wait and see if we get a longer video later, but I doubt it.

This is the first time in years I didnt buy at least one of Super7's con exclusives... but see through Lion-O for $65 was so easy to pass on. And while I picked up the Hawks team in Vac Metal I just didnt feel like dropping $100 on him... so I didn't

I did ask Brian if Tiger Sharks were still coming... he said they are, probably pre-orderable in Q1 2026. I pointed out that last year he told me they would drop for pre order in Q1 2025 and he said the schedule for everything got shifted back. I decided not to press on other properties (Blackstar!) since I didnt think I would get any real answer.

Today's Super7 deal on BBTS is the GI Joe Ultimates full Wave 1 of 4 figures for $55.

So it's basically buy the BAT for full price and get Cobra Commander, Duke and Snake Eyes for free. ;)

I saw that. Absolutely crazy price for that full wave. I recently picked up the BAT and Snake Eyes from Amazon, maybe 2-3 months ago, for about 30 each.

Still doesn't even feel like a good deal, somehow.

Honestly wave 1 was actually a pretty good wave. All the figures look great (as Sunbow figures) and the accessories are pretty great as well. The cape for CC is good and the BAT is pretty good overall. I think Super7 did a pretty good job on that wave, but what they did with wave 2 kept me away.

These are definitely good deals for those of you in the US with the $4 shipping.

BBTS has been doing these sales for a few summers now, but they always felt less aggressive than what other retailers did. This summer feels like a course correction and they are firmly in the "Get these the fuck out of our warehouse," mode.

Man, at $55 for the entire Wave, I had to get them. I've always thought Wave 1 looked really good. I honestly think all the Super7 GI Joe Cartoon figures look really nice. But I collect Classifieds, so I tried to stay out of the Super7 cartoon collection.

But for $55 I'll get them. I almost have at $88 a number of times.

I have the first two waves minus blue Baroness. If wave 3 goes on sale I'd probably grab it. I want to eventually display them like Norm does with other 80s Cartoon accurate Ultimates instead of near my other GI Joe.

I've been thinking of doing that too. Putting all the cartoon related 80's Ultimates together. Silverhawks, Transformers, ThunderCats, MOTU, now GI Joe etc. If Wave 2 or 3 of GI Joe gets discounted any more, I'd imagine I'd buy them as well.

I currently have my MAS Prime and Megatron, Ultimates Lion-O, Mumm-Ra, Joes, Silverhawks and Biker Mice From Mars displayed in a case together.

Looks like today's big deal from BBTS for an Ultimate Wave is Wave 2 of the Mighty Morphing Power Rangers. The set was originally $275 and today it is $96. Luckily, I don't need this one. But for any MMPR fans, this is a nice-looking set.

Can you imagine being one of those people that buys action figures because of rarity and value? Hahaha.. oh my god.
