Big Bad Workshop General

At his own figure? Oh definitely.
Also, cream, ice cream? Is this fucker an ice cream truck driver too?

I know GI Joe had ice cream soldier but I really feel that should be more of a Cobra.
Oh my god.. they totally should have done his camo and armor up in Ice Cream Soldier colors. What the fuck, Big Bad.

Maybe for a con exclusive.

It's funny, and this isn't to knock on the Big Bad Workshop lines at all because I REALLY think they're neat and peruse all of the listings at BBTS a couple times a week, BUT... the new Classified Ghost Viper, I feel like his helmet is something that could fit in with these lines pretty easily, yet I am definitely getting that guy (for the figure itself, the ghost stuff isn't enticing for me at all), yet always talk myself out of these figures.

I just discovered that the magic wand and shackles displayed next to Edgar Allen Poe are not for him, but rather a tease for the next member of the Raven Society. I would've guessed Harry Houdini, but they weren't contemporaries. Unless Poe's final days involved time travel and we really are just on a tour of weirdo 19th century historical figures. O:MF already has a head sculpt for HP Lovecraft.

I think it would be really cool if the shackles were for Fortunato as a zombie or something.

I have this issue as well and I struggle to explain why a totally new weirdo version of a Viper excites me more than totally new weirdo anything else. The BigBad stuff all looks incredible, but I just don't get excited about it like I do even brand new Joe characters. To be fair, a part of that might be because I still don't view the BigBad stuff as real, because barely any of the 18 billion figures they've shown off have actually been released.

I may get that Joe, but Monster Force is my jam. They may only have wave 1, but the figures are excellent imo.
Oh yeah - I haven't heard anyone really having anything negative to say. And they look great. They just haven't released even a single figure yet that -really- calls to me in a way I can't resist. Caligari very much DOES call to me, but I can't even remember when that figure was first revealed, so it still doesn't feel like a real thing I can eventually buy because... who knows when that'll be. It's already been so long and I'm just sort've checked out on it.

It's certainly possible that when the line is more consistently putting out characters I actually like and want to have, that I'll feel very differently about the entire line than I do right now. It will have to do a lot of heavy lifting to impose itself on my brain over the nostalgia stuff like G.I. Joe, though.

See? That's what I imagined. A zombie jester, a black-feathered bird-man, a red-garbed plague doctor, a mime covered in giant worms (okay, maybe not that one).

FMF/BBWS really set themselves up for this. They show off a bunch of werewolf Nazis and gangster robots, and then tease a toy line based on Edgar Allen Poe. What am I supposed to assume?

Something occurred to me watching Robo's video this morning. What if the Mob Boss NPC neck peg is swappable with the Santa heads?

Speed reading through this thread and I initially saw that as "Michael Jackson". It was a weird mix of confusion and not-surprise.....
So what you are saying is they need to make a super articulate "Pop Dancer" in red leather jacket and one diamond glove with a alt zombie head, werewolf head, and dark skin/light skin head?

I'm not expecting it. When Bill Murphy was talking about plans for the Soldiers of Fortune as a customizable line, and the swappability of the whole FMF catalog, he said Naughty or Nice was the exception because it was developed by someone else through FMF.

I'd assume the NPCs will continue to be interchangeable with the other FMF lines while the Clauses stay their own thing.

Yeah, and that's fair enough if it applies here. I wondered mainly because of the body type. It seems like a lot of the swappability is as much for the base of the neck as the top, at least in some of these figures, so I could still see it working. But if not that's fine too. I don't especially need a mob Santa, just was a funny thought to have ;)
