Jada Street Fighter

Has anyone made Sakura yet? She's one of the few Street Fighter characters I know from the games (not toys).

We have the kinda ugly old SOTA figure, and the SH Figuarts. Both go for way too much on the aftermarket, so I'd just wait. With both Storm and Jada focusing down on Alpha 3, we are absolutely going to get one or two new Sakura figures announced within the next year or two.

52toys, they've announced Ryu, Chun-Li, and classic SF6 Chun-Li so far.

Thank you for bringing this knowledge to me down from the mountain. They look pretty good. I'll take the shot.

Agreed. I like my SFV Chuns. And Tyris is awesome. But they didn't really nail Taki and Mai the way Jada locked down Cammy and Chun, and for that reason I will remain cautious, but optimistic. Arena might just be where they they tightened everything up for their engineering and design.

Oh, in this case I'm talking about the prototypes we've seen of Alpha Chun-Li for the Arena line. I think Taki and Mai were a bit messy, I didn't like Blue Mary much either, and Morrigan was a bit... nah. But Arena's Morrigan, Lilith, and Chun-Li I think look overall great and have improved a lot between when we first saw them at that Capcom event, and their latest showing at Anime Expo. Lilith is a good metric for how Sakura could look.

This is such a minor nit-pick but I had Dhalsim in my cart and forgot to check out, then I got an email saying "Items in your cart aren’t reserved forever," and my cart was about to "expire". I checked Jada's store three minutes after receiving the email, sure enough he was OOS and nothing was reserved. I emailed them about the discrepancy, because quite frankly I *hate* those emails about "you forgot something in your cart!" and even worse emailing me about something that's now OOS. Got a response saying "When we say "cart about to expire," it means the items in your cart are not reserved and may sell out."

Anyways, I just wanted to rant a minute about this, as I found it mildly annoying. Don't tell me items in my cart "aren't reserved forever" and then tell me they never were reserved in the first place.

I really feel for Jada. If you’re doing wave one of. Street Fighter range, Ryu and Chun Li are pretty much obligatory. They’ll have spent months prepping these figures, getting them to a stage where they’d expect the same kind of eager response to all their other SF protos. And they’ve been beaten to the punch on every one. Must have been a glum day at Jada HQ when Arena announced their first wave.

Both look slightly off the mark just going by my art books and game memory. Good figures for sure, but the face on both could use tweaking. I think the eyes are too large on Jada's and the hair colour is too light.

But I admit I'm just being really finicky there. I also have that third party one coming from 5K. Give them all to me. Spinning bird kicks for everybody.

I think I'm going all in on Jada for Street Fighter 2, but I'm not sure for 3. Other than getting both versions of Karin.

I feel it's a bit different for Jada's case, as they've already given a full USFII roster. They can afford to slow down on variants of the heavy hitters, and I think they should. We'll probably get at least one USFII character every wave, though.

I wonder if the starting rosters/total overlap were a mandate from Capcom's licensing teams. If not, I hope they do something to make the lines be more of an indirect competition. All Capcom's fault either way.
