General Marvel Legends

Not the Man-Wolf I was expecting. I never knew there was a version of Man-Wolf where he had a sword and bow/arrows...only recall him from Spidey where he was just a werewolf in the look from the ToyBiz Spiderman classics line.
I knew this version existed but not really a Spider-Man character in this look but is more of a Magic the Gathering type look. I do like Slott SheHulk run too. I suppose he goes in the cosmic shelf. Just not sure Man Wolf is a 2 look character space wise. Shrugs shoulders

Impressive show. Those '97 figures and 2pks are the standouts. Love the classic looks for Cyke, Jean, Storm, and Wolverine. Glad to have them all updated. The singles look fine, nice to see the standard New Mutants uniform on Sunspot, was sure it would be the civilian outfit. Civvie Wolvie is fine, Disappointed to see Jubilee in the black outfit though. Cable does look very anime, even more than Bishop. Emma I didn't see a close up for, so hard to tell by the shot of 6 figures. LOVE the Rogue/Gambit basketball set. That was in the first comic I ever bought, X-Men 4.

I like the Magic Spidey sets. Man Wolf looks great, love that Iron Spidey MJ, and been wanting a battle damage Spider-Man for a long time. Wish he had more sculpted detail though. Agent Anti-Venom is welcome, but I hope these figures aren't obscene in price.

Never loved Feral, and considered my X-Force complete without her, but I'll take it. Rachel Grey looks sensational, can't wait to complete Excalibur. Retro Storm seems redundant, but this is her later Outback costume, no? I'm dumb for having made a Sorcerer Supreme Doom recently. Starfox and Champion are fun. WWII Wolvie just makes me want Team X Wolvie way more.

Those flame effects on Rachel are great. Love that they're emulating the cover of Excalibur #1!

Outback Storm is cool. Classic X-Men costumes are cool. I want a deeper blue on Byrne Cyclops, but I can't imagine that's going to stop me from preordering - I'm sure he'll sell out quick.

Even though I'd prefer standard/comic style figures, I respect the commitment to completing X-Men '97. Continues to demonstrate how much of a hit that show was. Morph/Wolvie shower scene 2-pack next?

Wow, that's an awesome showing for Hasbro. Feral and Rachel in those specific costumes are my top wanted figures. Very excited to complete those teams. I consider the early '90s "Mutant Genesis" era complete between all the teams. Yes, I'd love to get some of the additional members of Excalibur like Kylun and complete Generation X, which I'd argue is a later era, but glad to see they actually completed not just some teams, but a full era.

And the X-Men '97 stuff looks great. Glad they're committed to completing that team.

Also, very excited for Mephisto.

Did Hasbro mention anything about a HasLab? Kind of hope they take a break this year.

Oh, and very excited for Man-Wolf. The old Toy Biz figure is the final figure I still have in my Spidey display from the Toy Biz era. This one looks way better and will presumably not have the problem with standing up that the old one has.

Mephisto is a must. I need him so him and his son Blackheart can bicker over whose runnin' Hell. I love WWII Logan. But like GillMan said......Bone Claws!

Feral and Rachel are must haves. A lot of the other X-Men 97 offerings are all characters they have released before, and very stylized looking so I really don't feel like I need them. I might get Emma and that Wolverine/Storm 2 Pack.

They all look great though.

Shouldn't WWII Wolvie have bone claws? Am I wrong on that?
I believe so, since adamantium-laced Logan was a product of the Cold War as I remember. I think the X-Men cartoon episode with Captain America had him with metal claws though, so who knows what story this is based on. I'm also not entirely certain he wouldn't have fought for Canada, as this figure is very obviously an American WW2 look.

Just caught up and broke away from all the coverage. Dang this was a great SDCC for toys. Hasbro killed it across ML and Joes this year it seems.

It was surreal hearing them talk about Glenn Danzig at the SDCC panel.

Jubilee is great though, happy to have that costume finally. I'll need someone to make a custom head to make her into a comic vampire Jubilee, though. Starfox is overdue, Champion is cool, shame the Magus leak was incorrect (I'm still on the copium that we'll get a good classic Adam some day), and I am SO glad they listened to all the fan feedback with Mephisto. Man-Wolf makes me want Man-Beast.

Ah, yeah...in that episode he had some gloves with metal claws (since they wrote that episode before the retcon that he'd always had bone claws). I guess that's what they are going with here? He didn't have this look in that episode though, so maybe there is a comic that later roped that story element in?
