Marvel Legends Gamerverse

Walmart seems to do their own thing with pricing sometimes. The NECA Shredder two-pack is as high as 80 bucks on a lot of websites, but Walmart is holding strong to 60.

Anyone know why the War Machine/Omega Red set is $49.99 when the other Gamerverse sets are $59.99? I don't remember seeing that it would be less, but I admittedly have not really been paying close attention to all the 2 pack prices either. Perhaps because it's a Walmart exclusive?
Maybe because they’re both repaints of previously released figures. The other 2pk a have at least one brand new figure.

War machine is heavily reengineered if you compare these two molds. The entire upper half of his body looks to have new parts.

IIRC the War Machine's got a fair amount of new and refreshed parts, yeah?

I called 10 of 12 of my local Targets again, and none had finished their resets.

One claimed they had 4 on the floor, but he told me "he couldn't go check" (i.e. walk from the Electronics desk five aisles to his left where the Legends aisle is  ) so I knew it was risky. I went ahead and tried going anyway and got burned. The employees were right there in the Legends aisle putting stuff out, but the 2-pack wasn't on any of their carts or the pallets in the main aisle and they had no way of knowing which pallet it was on in the back. They checked in the back but couldn't find it.

It's always a mix for who you get on the phone, who you run into when you go in, or where exactly the item you're hoping to snag is located. Two out of three employees are extremely helpful, but one in three has some variation of attitude. Even when they're helpful sometimes the item is just buried in pallets or on some cart waiting to be stocked, but nobody knows where that cart is at.

None of this worries me; I'm still confident I'll get the set easily within the next few days. When the resets prevent me from getting something they usually prevent almost everyone else in my area from getting them as well.

I was comparing Psylocke to my Boss Fight Red Sonja. She looks to be pretty close to on par with that figure. Boss Fight seems to use slightly better plastic and some better joint hiding techniques, but again, still looks good next to a $50 higher end figure.

That crouch he's in at the show is the pose I want for my shelf.

Now please just someone put him next to VHS Cyclops so I can feel better after everyone has been saying he's going to be too tall lol...

Wasn't expecting the Mafex-style butterfly joints. Are those balljoint butterflies? What's the term for those? I think they were on MCU Wolverine too.

Those are actually one of the few areas on Mafex figures I'm not in love with, primarily because I have several figures where the arms just get all floppy cause that joint can't stay in place. If they've figured out a way to make it sit more reliably I'm all for it. The articulation overall looks great on him.

It's cool that War Machine has new parts on his upper body but it was always his lower body that looked bad, small skinny legs with pins, no boot swivel, pretty lame stuff in 2025.
