Boss Fight Studios 1/12 and EPIC HACKS

Why not all 3? I doubt I'd be interested in a 1:18 one. BFS has done soft good on their 1:18 figures, but I'm curious to see how they'd handle Hellboy's jacket. A MOTU Origins style Hellboy isn't something I had considered, but it would be pretty awesome.
I’d be thrilled if BFS did Hellboy in all 3 scales. My preference is 1:12, so I’d be bummed if they don’t do that scale in particular.

100% agree. If they are any other scale I won't have a problem resisting the urge to dive into another line. 1/12 though? I know I'd wind up being all in!

I've warmed up the idea (pun intended) of a Mignola-based series of Hellboy figures, like the use of "universe" in the above promo seems to imply. They'd really have to be 1:12 scale, though.
What interests me, is it appears they're keeping the coat as either a separate piece, ignoring it for the first release, or doing it as soft goods. That makes me wonder if this isn't also going to be an attempt to get some tooling of a bigger character that could be used elsewhere. The face, tail, and RHoD are easy enough to stylize and stick on a body, but will the body be equally stylized?

1/12 would definitely be my preferred scale. But I also like those MOTU Origins style Conan figures they're making.

How they handle the coat intrigues me. Hellboy kinda needs his jacket in my mind. I'm also a bit skeptical regarding the sturdiness of the figures. BFS stuff can be a bit...loose with the joints. So I'm hoping these are bit more sturdy than say their Red Sonja figure. We do have all those BFS skeletons (talk about loose) which can work with Hellboy.

I mean.

I have sworn off Boss Fight, as has been covered.

But Hellboy will be very hard to resist. One of my favorite comics and characters ever.

That's how I felt about the MOTUO-style Conan. That is SO deep in my wheelhouse that my wheelhouse can taste it in the back of its throat.
But nah. Fuck Andrew. I literally cannot make myself let it go and just buy toys from that guy.

The ONLY way that I can justify it is that I'm supporting the sculptors, the painters, and people in the factories putting the figures together. The people who put their talents into the product.

It's like actors I can't stand being in movies I enjoy: I can love and appreciate the art without supporting the person involved.

Fuck Andrew. But...Hellboy...

I totally get that.

I feel like I'm still processing what that looks like for me. Like, on the one hand, I know that everyone needs to work. Everyone needs to make money and feed their families. On the other hand, everyone has choices in life and the people helping Andrew make toys are choosing to do so despite his actions (or because of them, perhaps). Any one of those sculptors or painters could have said 'nah man, fuck you' and taken a walk. Is that realistic? I don't know. That's why it's so tough.

I guess right now where I'm at is that anyone choosing to work for a piece of shit like Andrew doesn't -deserve- for me to support them in that endeavor. I'll support them in their work elsewhere, just not their work at Boss Fight. Because Andrew is -alive-, so you really can't support the art without supporting the person. He gets the money, after all.

But it's complicated and I recognize these are my feelings on the matter, not absolute truths or the 'right' way to do anything.
