McFarlane DC Multiverse

You asked, but it would be:

Nite Owl 1
Nite Owl 2 Red Platinum Target
Manhattan (translucent with eyes and nerves)
Manhattan regular (Wal Mart Platinum because Blue)
Comedian in costume from flashbacks
Rorschach

Rorschach red platinum shadow drop with no mask
Rorschach in prison suit

Nite Owl 2 and Ozymandias two pack months later

And Bubastis would be a statue, just a hunk of sculpted plastic with no articulation. In a two pack, months later, with an Ozymandias with a screaming head.

Question for you all - what's your favorite, scales best together combination of Justice League figures? I was just trying to pull out a new set to display (I actually decommissioned my Multiverse set up a few months back) and with the new movie and such I've got a bug going to put one back together. I definitely know which Wonder Woman, Martian Manhunter, John Stewart (I only have the one), Hawkgirl, and proooobably which Flash I want, but who are your favorite Superman / Batman versions to put into a lineup? I have Action Comics 1000 Superman and he's definitely my favorite, but he's a little small? Kinda want the Trinity to look natural together.

Also realizing two things about my Multiverse collection - I don't have what I'd call an excessive amount but I bought them so chaotically that I'm like "Oh, I DO have John Stewart!" but also "oh, I DON'T have Hal?"

And also, my usual cool, dry storage space in my basement studio has become a hothouse in this summer's obscene heat waves in New England and I'm kinda shocked at how badly these figures react to heat. They're so dense, heavy, just, MECHANICAL I thought they'd resist heat more than like, Legends or Star Wars, but they're having a tough time. Some of the accessories are a bit warped.

For me the only answer for Superman is the digital wave version. He's got the sculpt, the color, the wired cape.....AND he's got the height. He's just a tiny bit taller than Wonder Woman.

Jury is still out on Batman. He's made so many that are ALMOST there for me and he will make many more before the end. It would help if I could settle on which style I'm actually looking for. I know I'd prefer wired cape. Do I want to stick with blue and grey? Black and grey? Yellow oval or no? Then you have to worry about height relative to Supes and WW (because scale in this line is all over the place). I'd prefer not to kit bash because I'm spending money on two, three, maybe four figures to make ONE, then everything else goes to the fodder bin.....that doesn't feel like a "win" for me. If I'm patient will THE Batman for me come along in the next year? Probably.

I concur on Superman. My favorite Batman surprises me, as I was going to pass on him. Cowardly Lot (so far) is my favorite mainstream Batman. He looked so good when I saw him, I couldn’t pass him up.

I actually completely missed there was a wired cape Superman other than Reeves! I'll have to track that one down - I really prefer a classic, red-trunks Superman with a wired cape. I'm really trying to find the Mafex Hush Superman, but at Todd scale. That figure would be perfect if it were at heroic scale.

Batman really is a tough one. I was looking through what I have and I really don't know what my favorite look is. If forced to choose I'd say Dark blue and gray - the phygital one that came with a Bruce Wayne unmasked head is one of my favorites but the blue is so bright. I do like a wired cape on him too if I can find one but I somehow haven't bought a wired cape Batman without a lighter color palette yet. Gonna be funny if my ultimate display involves me buying new versions of two characters I already have a ton of, but the rest of the lineup are all ones I could be one-and-done about.

Cowardly lot is one of my faves, too. First Appearance is my #1, but he doesn't work in a modern JL display so I think Cowardly Lot is a fine choice.

That was on my radar but ultimately the bat symbol was a bit too stylized for me.

Another that was on my radar was No Mans' Land but he's crossed off even before release. What did Todd do? Gave it a cloth cape, sewed the seam for the wire into the cape, DIDN'T actually give it a wire! My God.........this corner cutting.

Fleshier Superman, Kingdom Come Superman, and lion head Superman also have the wired cape with the red trunks. They're all on the taller buck that the digital Superman is on. One of those may be an option for you.

Oof. So painful to read, even if it's theoretical. You know that's exactly how it would be.

That said, if Todd does manage to squeeze out a wave before he loses the license, I'd hope that Rorschach would come with swappable face plates. If ever there was a figure in need of multiple face options, it's Rorschach. Then again, why do that when he can lock different designs behind exclusives or platinums?

Rorschach would also re-use the Joker Deadly Killing trenchcoat body.

Todd's the only toymaker with balls enough to actually make a naked Manhattan. And we'd still get that version before Laurie.

90s JLA for me! I haven't really updated this since PG (Jade and Kara are kinda just shoved in), but I need to make Electric Supes and regular Supes more easily interchangeable in the display - both are appropriate.

I also have Fate, Connor, non-matching Hawks , Phygital Supes, Hal and the Titano Flash so I can swap that one out, but I'm in no rush. The Hawks might stay in their boxes where the existing boxes are until Todd releases (or re-releases) versions that match. Really looking forward to the new WW in the two-pack. Feel like 90s WW needs bigger hair than the one Todd has graced us with.

I was just eyeballing the Fleischer and Kingdom Come Supes. Kingdom Come is one of my all-time favorite representations of him but I wasn't really buying McFarlane when that one came out.

I was thinking we could do a Scotty Snyder Justice League by the time McDC was wrapped, but several of the costumes are wrong. 90's core JLA is close, but we're far from the expanded team. It's frustrating.
