I felt with all my body, there could never be another version of the RHINO I'd ever buy, no matter what color or paint scheme, except the one that looks like the toy I have pre ordered. Then.......you said that. You just blew my f****** mind.
 
In this video by YouTuber ToyShiz, Loyal Subjects unboxes some of the MASK Vehicles. They show how they come packaged and how some of their transformation/action features work. You also get a look at some sticker sheets and the little figures.

Apparently at SDCC they will be revealing some of Wave 2.

Definitely looking great but those prices (especially Canadian) make it hard for me to jump in on this line. I hope it does really well and they can keep going for multiple waves.

Oh and really excellent job on the interior tray/packaging. I love the plastic tray that allows for both safe storage/shipping and how it displays the product.
 
The boxes and that tray holding everything in the packaging looks really nice. The one thing that still freaks me out is the stickers. All the vehicles look cool without their stickers in that video. But looking at pictures of these with all their stickers added, they look 10 times better.

And I hate that. because I want these, but I HATE stickers unless it's on some cheap kids toy that's just to play with. You know, like the MASK toys were in the 80's lol.

But current day, at these prices, the stickers really concern me. I hate applying them. I hate worrying they'll get nicked, torn, or at some point come off. I hate their face. Stickers should not be on adult collectibles.

Still, these look great. It looks like they are overall very well made. I will say, it seemed like some of the action features where little guns, blades, wings or something pop out with the movement of something or the push of a button, go off or pop out very easy as this guy goes over each vehicle. I can't tell if they pop out conveniently easy, or annoyingly way too easy if that makes sense.

Are things just going to be popping out or transforming every time we mess around with these? It's hard to tell. it may just have been the way he personally was handling them.

Tampos over stickers every day, all day for me. I hate having to apply stickers, especially as I have gotten older and the eyes and hand steadiness aren't what they used to be........

Yeah I watched the video and I think there might be some concern for how the pop out features will stay in long term. It looked like the MDU really had some trouble with the front grill staying in, and even when it stayed it looked like it wasn't flush.

Overall though they look really great but, again, too bad about those prices. I would love to jump in on the line, but the price is keeping me at bay (for now).
 
The prices for this line are a turn off. I only had the Condor and Thunderhawk, so those are the only two now interesting me. But man those prices.

Watching the video, I'm concerned about the rotor blades for the Condor. Looks like they're bending plastic instead of being hinged. I honestly don't remember how the original functioned, but these look like they could break given enough transformations. I don't really trust The Loyal Subjects to produce a solid, sturdy toy, so there's that skepticism going on too.

Since I wasn't a huge MASK fan growing up, I decided to look at which other vehicles are potential for this line. Frankly, there aren't too many which appeal to me. So many have one vehicle shooting out of another. Which only seems to work in the moment. How does that boat get back into the jeep body? Maybe I'll still try for the Condor and Thunderhawk, though.
 
Yeah, I think the original Condor did have bending rotors and the Firefly has folding plastic front wings.
 
I was like "I'll just buy the first volley and be very selective about the rest" but I fricken LOVED the Hurricane as a kid. I never had the Jackhammer so I'm less nostalgic about it, but my brain will actually go to the Hurricane before the Thunderhawk for the one that I played with most.
 
Man, those 40th Anniversary MASK vehicles seem like both a good and bad idea. Good, because it's another use of the molds and offering new colors of these vehicles that have never been offered before. Bad because, does anyone want anything besides exactly what the toys look like?

Is anyone going to buy these Anniversary editions?

They look cool, but just the toy versions for me.

In other Loyal Subjects news, I actually bought the Jem and the Holograms Jem doll at Wal-Mart today. I just remember that show so well and thought it would look great in the box next to all my other 80's toys.

Here is my quickie review. It's awesome as F***!

Seriously though, I left mine in the box because that's how I wanted to display it. A girl I know got it and opened hers up, and I will say it is very sturdy and well made. Loyal Subjects did a great job especially for the price.

But I keep looking at mine and it looks so cool, and it gives me so many nostalgic feelings. You do find them in the girls toy aisle where the likes of Barbie and Brats are. Some folks think you find it in the entertainment section where the NECA, Nacelle, and Funko stuff is. But it's in the girls toy aisle. In America it's aisle L7. I don't know if that's how they number them in Canada.

That explains why I've never seen her in store. I was told if I venture into the girl aisle I would get cooties. Did you get cooties? Did you bring cooties into this forum!?
