I got my SH Figuarts Harry Potter today!
I've been waiting for something like this for 20 years! The figure is fantastic, very poseable with mostly smooth joints, although the hip joints are squeaky. The back of the hair is separate from the rest and allows the head to look really far up, but the lower neck joint barely moves. The torso bends nicely and the butterfly shoulders allow the arms to go together to grab the wand with both hands (lol), just like the movie. It's pretty much 5.5" tall; the red expelliarmus spell is 7.25" long while the blue spell is about 3" long.
The accessories are really nicely detailed, the triwizard tournament cup especially, but his wand is pretty much on-point with the screen used prop (but it's lacking the grey on the handle). It's pretty stiff plastic but it doesn't feel brittle, and the blue spell can be plugged onto it and held out easily. The long red spell effect is really long though, and the hole for the wand is too thin and does not fit, so it comes with a clear base to grab onto the spell, very much needed for it. The figure comes with a nice selection of hands, including multiple sorts of grips. The wand can be easily slid onto these, although I do recommend heating them to change them out, they're on really tight and the peg is really small.
The faces and likenesses are honestly incredible! I can really see Daniel Radcliffe in these. The digital print is nice and clean and the faces have some slight shading on them. However, the glasses do distract and honestly take away from the likeness of the figure. From afar they look great, but you come close or at an angle and it does look a bit weird. I fully get why they did it like this but I would have loved to see actual plastic glasses with clear lenses, just like many others have done it before. At least this way the glasses won't snap off though!
The black robe in the images does not come with the figure, it comes from the Mattel Dueling Club Harry from Chamber of Secrets (an honestly great figure for 2002!). It fits really nicely on the figure, kinda makes it look more like a general-look Harry rather than being specifically from the final duel of Goblet of Fire.
Overall I am very pleased with this Harry, I've wanted something like this since the old Neca figure released with basically no articulation. It's a great figure, even if he feels a bit frail thanks to those squeaky hip joints and the small size. I haven't bought Voldemort yet but now I'm really tempted to, however his price is a bit too much for me.
